Best Lightweight Stroller

February 1st, 2012 | Author: babylover Best Lightweight Foldable Full Size Toddler Stroller Looking for the best lightweight foldable full size toddler stroller? You need to check out the Maclaren Quest Sport then. The Maclaren Quest Sport lightweight foldable full size toddler stroller combines the features you would expect from a standard stroller with the convenient folding and low weight of an umbrella stroller. It's features and price tag definitely make this a luxury stroller. If you're not budget conscious then the Maclaren Quest Sport baby stroller is the way to go. The Maclarne lightweight foldable full size toddler stroller has a high performance aluminum frame, which allows it to have the best weight to weightcapacity ratio of any stroller in this class. Incredibly, it weighs in at only 11.5 lbs but can support up to 55lbs of child! We found that the best feature of this lightweight foldable full size toddler stroller is the wheels. The 5" hard rubber, lockable dual swivel wheels offer great control and add to the maneuverability. Combined with a foot operated rear brake the wheels and suspension give the Maclarane Quest Sport a smooth, safe and easy ride. The Quest Sport lightweight foldable full size toddler stroller has a four position reclining seat, adding to baby's comfort. A five point harness helps to keep them secure as well. A really nice feature on this lightweight foldable full size toddler stroller is the extendable leg rest. This allows baby to lay flat, or makes babies with shorter legs more comfortable. Maclaren says infants as young as three months can fit in the Quest Sport. While most medical professionals suggest 6 months for umbrella strollers, the reclining seat and extendable leg rest allow for a younger passenger. Double check with your doctor if you're not comfortable with the manufacturer's suggestion. The Quest Sport lightweight foldable full size toddler stroller has a compact umbrella fold and both a shoulder strap and shopping basket for easy travel. This lightweight foldable full size toddler stroller also has a 5 second one-hand fold mechanism for quick breakdown. The other convenient features are: * Removable and washable seat * Water resistant hood * Rain cover * Ergonomically optimized, foam insulated handles * Handy mesh shopping basket The strong construction and extra features don't come cheap on the Maclaren Quest Sport. Retailing for 5.99 it's not the priciest lightweight foldable full size toddler stroller out there, but is more expensive than most standard strollers. If you're not too concerned about price, this is really the best lightweight foldable full size toddler stroller available. Its list of awesome features will make your trips out easier and more comfortable for your little passenger. Remember, you get what you pay for and a quality lightweight foldable full size toddler stroller will cost you more; but it will last you longer and make life a whole lot easier. February 1, 2012 at 10:15 am What is the best lightweight stroller for travelling? I am looking for a sturdy lightweight stroller for my nearly 1 year old. He is a tall boy and large for his age about 25 lbs. I travel frequently and need a light, easily maneuverable, compact folding stroller for him. Long term durability is not so important, just so long as it is durable for airline travel and not so careful foreign cabbies! Full recline would be nice, but partial would also be ok, and the storage basket is not a big deal (a plus if it has a decent one, but as long as it can hold a water bottle, it will probably do). I would like to stay under $100, but would spend up to $200 (sometimes clearances are wonderful this time of year) for a really great, durable stroller. I have used a Combi DX since he was born, and while it was fantastic at first, it seems to not steer as well as it once did. I am not sure if that is due to his weight or just the stroller not being very durable. Has anyone else had this problem? If it is just a question of durability I would happily buy another Combi. I am also drawn to Mia Moda Ceili Deluxe anyone used this? Any good? Help me out I dont want to go buy another Combi and then find out it was the weight of my child not the wear and tear on the stroller causing it not to turn! Reply

February 3, 2012 at 5:15 am What is the best lightweight stroller out there? I am so sick of lugging around the huge stroller that came with the car seat that snaps in. I am looking for a lightweight umbrella stroller that has a fairly big basket underneith and a tray for a cupholder etc. for the baby. I dont want to spend more than 50-65 dollars for it. Any suggestions? Reply

February 8, 2012 at 5:44 pm Light, easy folded, and cheap strollers do not normally come with a tray. More expensive than you have stated, but the best stroller and lightest that I have found is the Maclaren. Reply

February 4, 2012 at 4:07 pm Best lightweight stroller for toddler? We were thinking about getting a Maclaren Volo but I just read that it doesnt recline. No big deal, really, but I want to see if there are other options out there and I like hearing from you guys more than I like reading reviews on a site! So, mommies(and daddies) what do you think is the best lightweight stroller for an older baby/toddler? Right now we have a Combi and it works okay but we tried the Maclaren in the store the other night and loved it. OH, and does anyone know if anymore taller strollers? My husband is 65 so he normally has to bend down a bit when were using our other strollers. Oops. That should read Does anyone know if there are anymore taller strollers Sorry! The Jeep Wrangler All-Weather stroller? I was browsing the BRU site and tons of reviews said the fabric ripped very easily. No problems with that? Reply

February 7, 2012 at 3:40 am Best lightweight stroller ? My son is 8 months old and I am looking for the best lightweight stroller. Things I would like: a good recline, a nice size canopy, good wheels, easy to close and open and a basket of some sort underneath. I am trying to stat under $150. Right now I have a few I like. The Combi Cosmo, First Years Ignite, Chicco Liteway and Babytrend Trendsetter. If anyone has one of these and can give opinion or recommend one? Thank you I will def. look into the Graco strollers. And the idea of holding my baby sounds great but not all the time sorry. I am a very petite woman with back problems and my son is already about 18 lbs. When we go on vacation or to the zoo or the mall or even for walks we need a stroller. Reply

February 29, 2012 at 7:07 pm Yourself. You never need to be folded lifted or put away no more holding baby in one arm while fighting with the stroller with the other. I carried both my girls all the time except when food shopping. Its great exercise and good for bonding they can always see what you are trying to point out to them, hold clothes up to see if they will look good. Now they are 13 and 8 and still want to be on daddys shoulders all the time not so bad with the 8 year old but the 13 year old not so much. Reply

February 14, 2012 at 12:50 pm best lightweight travel stroller for 2 month old? Im going on a road trip with my family and we need a stroller that doesnt take up all the trunk space. What is the best kind to get for a two month old. Reply

February 25, 2012 at 6:17 am A sling! Tiny babies need to be carried close to you, and the sling is so portable. Start practicing now to make the trip easier. If you choose to use a stroller, remember that youll be carrying her a lot anyway! I love my Babytrend stroller. You can also use the Snap N Go (cheap at second-hand stores). Its just a frame, and baby sits in her carseat. Reply

February 15, 2012 at 5:53 pm What is the best lightweight stroller for a 2 year old? We have a Graco Quattro stroller now (we got the travel system that came with the infant seat). Its been terrific, but its looking a bit worse for wear. Im thinking I might like a smaller, more lightweight stroller and Ive been trying to notice them when were out. It seems like older toddlers (our son is two, but tall) look uncomfortable in umbrella strollers and there is often little or no footrest and no storage at all. Anyone had good luck with a lightweight stroller for their toddler?? Sorry forgot to add that maneuverability is important otherwise well just buy a full size one like we have now. Thanks! Reply

February 22, 2012 at 5:25 am well are you talking umbrella strollers? Because if so I LOVE the one at Babies R Us (I think they recently jacked the $ up to $22). Its bright orange w/a canopy. Holds kids up to 35 lbs and the stroller itself only weighs 8 lbs!! I was excited abt that. They do have other light weight strollers there but we got the orange one as a gift and absolutely LOVE it for short trips here & there. Reply

I am now looking for a umbrella or lightweight stroller. I have looked at the jeep stroller and really like them but no basket underneath and the do not recline. What do you recommend. I am not wanting to spend an arm and a leg either. thanks Reply

February 18, 2012 at 4:14 am I dont know what is the best, but be sure you can try them out for yourself. I have purchased 2 and was disappointed in them. Both of them had handles that were so low that I had to stoop over to push them. It was awkward and uncomfortable after just a few minutes of pushing. Bare that in mind. Also, you will want one that reclines, even if its just a little bit. Good luck! Reply

February 23, 2012 at 1:36 pm What is the best lightweight stroller out there for toddlers? I want to get rid of my old bulky stroller that I used when my baby was an infant that has the attachable spot for the car seat. I want something lightweight but still sturdy and easy to stear. I realize this might cost a pretty penny but Im willing to pay for something compact and durable. Reply

March 6, 2012 at 4:08 pm I bought a lightweight Combi stroller for this purpose. Its cool looking, and I think its the lightest stroller on the market. It folds like a dream. The only problem is is it NOT easy to steer, the wheels just dont seem to turn easily. its great for malls and stores though i wouldnt pay much for a toddler stroller. you may find like I did that your little walker refuses to ride and PITCHES A FIT insists on walking everywhere the stroller is off little use. February 24, 2012 at 1:55 pm Best lightweight fully reclining stroller? I am looking for a lightweight fully reclining stroller for my one year all boy. Do you recommend Chicco C6? It is a fully reclining stroller? Reply

Anonymous:
March 1, 2012 at 9:41 am Its not a fully reclining stroller no, it only has a 2 position seat recline, upright and recline but the bar at the back of the seat prevents it from recling fully and the review are ok, nothing great. If you want a good stroller that will fully recline then I recommend a maclaren, I have the techno xt for my baby boy who is 7 months and it reclines fully to lay flat position which makes it comfortable for his naps, and its lightweight aswell and so great to push, I had a techno xt for my daughter who is 5 years old now and it was still in great condition when I passed it onto my cousin for her baby. It is expensive I paid 200 for my boys one and in babies r us its priced at 319.99 but to me its worth every penny, the maclaren quest sport is a good light weight reclining buggy aswell with 4 seat positions it is comfortable naps aswell. if you want a buggy that will last then a maclaren is the one to go for. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11208622&searchURL=false http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4316468&searchURL=false Reply

Baby Girl Sara, is on her way!:

March 5, 2012 at 6:12 pm Well, I went to Rite-Aid and purchased a little umbrella stroller and its worked really well for my three year old. Weve had it since he was right at 6 months. I bought it during his first holiday- Halloween and had to do a lot of walking and pushing and picking it up and putting it in the car. Its been heavy duty and just worked really well. Umbrella stollers usually dont go over $20. I got mine at a steal for $5. Im telling you, I love it and it works really well. If your child is younger than 5 months and cant hold its head very well then maybe you need one that reclines, but if not, then just get a little umbrella stroller. Reply

March 5, 2012 at 10:10 am Personally I love my jogging stroller. Its a baby trend, we bought it for under $100, and is very easy to push, maneuverable, fits anywhere I can walk through but when you fold it to put it in a car then it can be bulky and heavy, but at the same time it was easier than the travel system we used. I can tell you now that I dont think any other stroller than one with a bit rubber tires could have made it through the snow we waded through today. My suggestion is to go to a store like Babies R Us and try their strollers out. You can always go home and find the best price later, but unless you push it around youll never know. Reply
