Description
Baby Jogger City Mini Foot Muff In Black A Look At The Baby Jogger City Mini Double Strollers Many parents with a growing family at some point go out a purchase a baby stroller for thier little ones. If you only have the one child then a single stroller will suffice. If at some point your family increases in size then you will be in the market for a new stroller, a double or twin type. There are many considerations to make before you decide on which stroller is best for your children and for you as well. Seeing as while they are enjoying a comfortable ride around town you have the pleasure of pushing them, it makes sense that your needs are also addressed as well. Double strollers come in many styles, designs and brands and choosing the best one can be somewhat of a headache. Should you opt for the side by side model, which while your kids can sit next to one another, you have to be aware that this configuration by design will be wider than the tandem models. Obviously the tandem strollers will be easier to fit through most doorways but on the downside the child sitting in the rear seat, usually the older one may feel a bit isolated. Are you looking for one that has plenty of storage space? Most double strollers have ample room for bags, nappies etc either underneath in the form of a basket plus side and rear pockets. Are you an exercise enthusiast that would like to be able to take the children out jogging with you?. No problem. There are a range of baby joggers built just for this purpose. They are called surprisingly enough.....baby joggers. One of the best baby joggers sold is the city mini double stroller by baby jogger. The double strollers made by this company very popular and the 2011 model has undergone a makeover for this year. The seats are now fitted with a PE board that goes in the rear of the seat to give additional support to your childs back. The City Mini also features a very handy and easy to operate folding system that is very quick to execute by simply lifting a strap. This is one of the best in the industry and allows you fold for transportation in the back of a car of onto a bus with minimum of fuss. Folding your stroller when not in use saves on storage space too. The universal bracket that comes with the city mini lets you accessorize your stroller, and with a push of a button you can add or remove. A bonus is the bracket can be used throughout the baby jogger range of strollers so if you do ever change or upgrade you have the peace of mind that they will fit your new stroller saving on having to buy new accessories. The city mini has 2 swivel wheels at the front for easy maneuverability, which can also be locked into place should you wish to jog. The 2 seats recline and are fitted above with a weather canopy that are independently extendable on each seat so the children can be protected from the elements, whether it be rain or to shield from the sun. The baby jogger has a rear parking brake and the seats have a very good 5 point safety harness to keep your kids in place securely. Weighing in at a very reasonable 23 pounds it will be easy to handle and will support a combined weight of 100 pounds. So if you are looking to buy your first double stroller or are simply looking to upgrade your existing

February 5, 2012 at 4:34 pm (Edit) Im going to be getting a Baby Jogger City Mini strollerand use it for my newborn? On the Baby Jogger website it says that it can go to an almost full recline position. Obviously Im not going to jog, Ill probably never jog with it but I just like the specs and reviews on this particular stroller. It looks like a great stroller. It says that it almost fully reclines and that you can put an infant in it before it can hold its head up. My sister in law had a Bumbleride and used a neck support. Is this alright to do? Which neck support would you recommend? In my prenatal class they said sometimes the best thing is rolled up receiving blankets. Any suggestions? Reply

February 11, 2012 at 8:43 pm (Edit) The City mini is a great stroller and is suitable for a newborn. Rolled up recieving blankets are ok, but the are a hassle to deal with all the time, and tend to move around too much in a stroller versus an infant carrier. You can buy an inexpensive head and neck support which is held in place by the straps on the stroller and you should have no problems. An inexpensive one is the Especially For Babies Double Headrest for $16 at http://www.BabiesRus.com. It comes with 2 inserts, you use both for an infant,

and as the child grows you remove the inner on to keep the proper fit. There are many others out there as well. Hope this helps, Alan Hope this helps, Reply

February 5, 2012 at 10:46 pm (Edit) I cant store the 2011 baby jogger city mini double stroller? I just bought this EXPENSIVE 2011 baby jogger city mini double stroller (crimson/gray) and cant store it up right! It doesnt fold as easy as the single city mini and it doesnt stay in an upright position, the stroller opens itself when i put it in a upright position. It comes with a TINY strap that says storage strap ( so im assuming you use that to tighten it so it can stay upright), but the strap is sooooo short its not even funny. I did strap it down but the tiny short velcro strap opens up and there it goes againwide open!!! can anyone help me? maybe im doing something wrong? any feedback is greatly appreciated. this was a very expensive stroller 429.00 a long term investment and i want something that works!!! i just got it 2 days ago and im already stressed out by it =( Reply

February 6, 2012 at 7:14 pm (Edit) Baby Jogger City Mini? Does anyone have the baby jogger city mini? I am thinking of buying it but my one concern is that the seat doesnt sit upright enough. Has anyone experienced this? I read that the 2011 model has a solution to this can anyone confirm that it is much better? Thanks Reply

February 17, 2012 at 11:34 am (Edit) hi, i have the baby jogger city mini and its the best buggy ever, my friends all have buggy envy! Not sure what you mean about not sitting upright enough i have not noticed this and my little boy is always comfy in it. It can be moved easily to lots of different seating positions, and smoothly too, brilliant for when they fall asleep, cos you can just glide them back into flat position for a nap. I still love how easy it folds up and how lightweight yet sturdy it is. I look at other pushchairs all the time and they look so flimsy and no where near as nice as the city mini. I would not be without mine. So glad i bought it. I have had it since my son was about one, and he is now 2 and a half. not read anything about 2011 model no need to, cos i am delighted with my model ! xx Reply

February 6, 2012 at 10:21 pm (Edit) Baby Jogger City Mini stroller. Does it seem flimsy or unstable for regular use? I want something thats lightweight, easy to fold, grows with the baby (from infant with car seat base) to toddler. What do you think of this or do you know anyone who owns one? Also does it seem comfortable for a child to sit in for an amusement park, shopping, etc? Reply

March 2, 2012 at 9:14 pm (Edit) I dont know how helpful I am as I do not own this stroller but just wanted to say this is one of the most popular strollers for everyday use in NYC/Brooklyn where we live and Lord knows we New Yorkers give strollers a beating on our sidewalks and subways and in the parks. Your stroller is basically your car here and children spend a lot of time sitting in them so strollers popular in NYC are going to have comfy seats. I myself just bought the Joovy Kooper which has yet to arrive but is a similar design and you may want to check it out. It gets good reviews for being sturdy and for fitting children well into toddler-hood. I looked at the City Mini but didnt want 3 wheels. Reply

February 9, 2012 at 7:37 pm (Edit) anyone who knows about britax b ready, city mini, and city select strollers? Hi!

Im debating between three different strollers and I would like opinions from people that own them which is the best. I have noticed they all have pretty good reviews and are around the same price range with accessories. The first is the Baby Jogger city select I like how this stroller lets both babies see when they get older because the back seat is higher then the front seat. Second is the Britax b ready, this is nice but can the child on the bottom see forward at all or just out the sides and is it easy to walk with from the videos it doesnt look like it? Third is the baby jogger city mini. I like this because it is side by side and both babies would be able to see and it fits through standard doorways, but I will have a one year old and a newborn so i will be using this stroller at first with a carseat does that get in the way of the child sitting in the other seat? Thank you I appreciate any opinions Reply

February 28, 2012 at 11:03 pm (Edit) The City Mini is not made for shorter parents. My hunband and I are both around 510 and it was too short for us to push. We kept stepping on the wheels. The City Select worked just fine and its a very smooth ride. Reply

February 10, 2012 at 8:11 pm (Edit) Baby Jogger City Mini Car Seat Compatibility? Is the Baby Jogger City Mini Stroller compatible with the Graco SafeSeat Infant Car Seat? The car seat can be seen at http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp? productId=2844620 Thank you Reply

February 28, 2012 at 11:02 am (Edit) Hi yes your car seat will fit with the adapters, well from what I know its the graco safe seat stage 1 which is the only safe seat infant carrier I have heard of, please keep in mind if you are planning on using the car seat fixed to your stroller that it is recommened to keep a baby in any car seat for no longer than 2 hours at a time due to the position and strain there little backs are put under in a car seat so please use the stroller + seat for short trips, also make sure your car seat is compatible with your car and has been fitted by a professional. February 11, 2012 at 5:51 pm (Edit) Do you have these strollers for your baby? Id like the baby jogger city mini brand, but i saw one stroller similar at Babies R us is the britax b agile and they say its better than the city mini i dont know why, whats your experience about these strollers if you have them? Thanks and sorry for my english Im just learning Reply

February 23, 2012 at 3:05 pm (Edit) We have the City Mini and absolutely love it! It folds up so easily, maneuvers well, and my daughter is very comfortable in it. The only complaints I have is that the straps are difficult to adjust and it doesnt really have any bonus features (like a cupholder, play tray etc). There are compatible pieces that you can buy for it, so you may want to factor some of these costs if you plan to use it a lot. I bought the mommy hook and a cupholder attachment. The Britax B Agile wasnt on the market when we got our stroller and I dont know anybody who has one, but Ive seen it and it looks identical. It was clearly designed as a knock-off of the City Mini, which means that its probably very similar for a little bit less money. I would just go to the store and wheel both around, see how easily they fold etc. If you cant tell a difference, then go for the cheaper one! Reply

February 12, 2012 at 4:40 pm (Edit) Has anyone actually jogged with the Baby Jogger City Mini? I know the City Mini is not sold as a jogging stroller but am interested to hear if anyone has jogged with it, or if you know what its lacking that means it might not be safe to jog with. TIA. Reply

February 27, 2012 at 11:26 am (Edit) I have not used one for jogging. But a couple of the parents out our center have them and like them for everyday use. The wheels look a bit small for use as a jogging stroller. But it does have a turnable front wheel,

which is a major plus in my book. Most of the jogging strollers I have seen have a fixed front wheel, which makes turning them and moving them around obstacles a pain. Reply

February 14, 2012 at 3:26 am (Edit) City mini baby jogger-use from birth? We gave bought a City Mini Baby Jogger, we plan to use this for our new born (once she arrives). It does say you can use this stroller from birth as it lies flat, I also plan to buy a head protector (to keep head from moving side to side) and a footmuff. Has anyone else used the Baby Jogger for their new born? I would be interested in your views? Reply

February 19, 2012 at 6:23 am (Edit) Joovy Ultralight for 19month old and Newborn baby or Baby Jogger City Mini double? I will have a 19 month old active son and newborn daughter in a couple of monthsi really dont want a huge double stroller but still need something for my young toddler son- he loves to walk when he can though! Id love to be able to pop in the infant car seat when out and about so the ultralight is looking good- just not sure the seat is enough for my son? I also love the baby jogger city mini double (we have the single now for him) but it might be too much stroller as he gets closer to 2 years old- and the seats arent that big on it (hes very tall)}. Thanks for the advice mommies! Reply

February 25, 2012 at 2:48 am (Edit) http://www.macklems.com/phil-and-teds-dash.htm These are neat and are not too big so if he wants to walk he can or he can get in the back. or http://www.onestepahead.com/product/osa/6793.html This one has a space to stand at the back. And has a tray so probably car seat ready. Reply

February 22, 2012 at 10:03 pm (Edit) Bugaboo bee (or) Baby Jogger City Mini? It has come down to these two and I simply cannot decide. My daughters stroller

broke and she is only 11 months old. I like the bee because she can face me or to the world its compact size, its easy to maneuver and it has the hight adjustable handle because her dad is tall. Then the city mini is also compact slightly larger when folded but not much. I like that I can get a snack tray for it, they both have large canopies, but the city mini goes up to 50 lbs and the bee is 37.5 lbs, and I am not quite sure how much she will weigh by the time she is done with a stroller. Reply

Proud mommy to Isabell!:

March 1, 2012 at 7:45 pm (Edit) Ive heard the Bugaboos are excellent. Great strollers. I didnt buy a Bugaboo for my 2 month old girl, because they were (and still are) expensive. My friend has the Bugaboo Bee for her 5 month old son, and from her experience, she loves it! Yes, it also depends on the weight/size, as well. You have to have a good, compact, sized stroller. The stroller may be excellent, but it has to have a fine weight as well. You cant have a humongous stroller that cant fit through doors, you have to have a light, easy to move stroller that you can take around. So, in this case, I would recommend the Bugaboo Bee. Not only is it a great stroller, the weight is decent as well. Good luck! Reply

February 24, 2012 at 5:35 am (Edit) two completely different strollers. The Tike Tech is an all terrain stroller while the Mini is better suited for malls/paved terrain. If you want to compare a Tike Tech to the Baby Jogger you need to compare the Elite not the Mini Reply

February 24, 2012 at 5:20 pm (Edit) 2011 Baby jogger city mini double stroller maintenance? I just recently bought a 2011 baby jogger city mini double stroller in crimson/gray color. I paid $429.00 for it and have a question on maintaing it. I know the tires wear out and get eaten by the sun, not to mention the color fades away, but my question is, will leaving the stroller in my trunk ( where temperatures are get EXTREMELY HOT) affect the durability of the stroller, tires, color, fabric etc Im willing to take in and out the house as I use it, but I admit it would be a hassle to do that. I really want it to last because it will be the stroller we keep for when baby number arrives. any help or feedback is greatly appreciated .. thank you Reply

March 2, 2012 at 2:18 am (Edit) whats the best twin stroller you can recommend? I am expecting twins, dont no the sex yet. Me and my husband went looking at twin strollers at babies r us and there wasnt really anything that caught our eye, We did quite like the Baby Jogger City Mini Double Stroller but we were not that sure about it, what do you guys think? Amy P:
March 4, 2012 at 4:04 pm (Edit) Congratulations on your twins! I was just going to recommend the City Mini Double. Its one of toprated side-by-side strollers on the market. Only downside to that is that they cant take two car seats. When your children are a little older and youre the type of parents who like to get out and be active, the BOB Revolution Duallie is a sure bet as well. A type of stroller I like is called a convertible stroller. It converts from a single to a double and probably the best stroller for twins would be the Baby Jogger City Select. The other option is the Britax B-Ready. Both have removable seats and you can use in their place your car seat or bassinet. Downside: big outlay of $$. Take a look at the research options below. Click to read the thorough reviews and I think youll find them very helpful in selecting the right stroller for your twins. Best of luck and warm regards. Reply

March 3, 2012 at 11:50 am (Edit) Baby Jogger City Mini or Bugaboo Bee Plus or other rear facing stroller? I currently have a Loola Up, but finding it very heavy and cumbersome now my 10 month old is getting a bit heavier. I have just ordered the Baby Jogger City Mini after lots of recommendations and fantastic reviews, but wondering if I should send it back? Reason being, I wonder if Id miss the parent facing option of the Loola? I like the look of the Bee Plus, but not sure if I can justify the cost. Alternatively, are there any other strollers out there that are rear facing but not part of a big heavy travel system? Reply

March 4, 2012 at 12:16 pm (Edit) Get a bassinette to go into it, then you can have baby facing you : ) I work in a baby shop and the city mini is the most popular strollers we have. The easy fold and the light weight of the stroller are perfect. I would definately recommend this stroller to you. Bugaboo is good but we sell 100s of baby joggers compared to bugaboos. Reply
