Guidance Development of Sustainable Agriculture Implementation in Tlahab Village, Kledung District, Temanggung Regency, Central Java

Abstract
Sustainable agriculture is an agriculture approach that expected to overcome the mistakes that already occurred due to the green revolution. This approach is also offered as a way to overcome the difficulties of farmers as pests, the declining of soil fertility, the increasing of fertilizers and pesticides dependence, as well as controlled rice prices by the government. Organic farming is a form of this approach to sustainable agriculture. Unfortunately, even though the government has launched the displacement of existing agricultural systems in Indonesia towards the organic through the "Go Organic 2010", but this strategic program comes with the insufficient operational framework. As a result, until 2011, the Go Organic program that should be achieved in the year 2010 have not materialized. This final project aims to develop the implementation of sustainable agriculture guidance worked with in accordance of the conditions and characteristics of rural villages in Kledung district, Temanggung regency based on suitable agricultural system models displacement, which is done in Tlahab village as a case study. Village Tlahab, Kledung district, Temanggung regency, Central Java is an area that still relies on agriculture chemical inputs , with the majority of smallholder farmers with land area iii

iv of less than one hectare. This condition reflects the condition of agriculture in Indonesia, which requires a guidance for the switch to organic farming to give a better chance of decent life. Development of sustainable agriculture application agriculture guidance in the study was conducted using the approach method of Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) and Quality Fuction Deployment (QFD), in which PRA is used as an effort to obtain stakeholder input requirement criteria so that the most appropriate displacement model of farming systems can be chosen, while QFD is used to translate the criteria of stakeholder needs to be guidance-based implementation of organic agriculture movement model chosen. The results showed that the displacement model of the agricultural system that best suits the conditions and characteristics of the village Tlahab is participatory technology design, which this model demonstrates the need for modification of the initial guidance of the program "Go Organic 2010", which better accommodate the needs of stakeholders.
