Work experience placement student at Highlights PR December 2011 - December 2011 (1 month) One week placement where I met and interviewed clients, wrote press releases, designed and re-worded a website, took part in two photo shoots and attended board meetings for large projects. A press release I drafted made it in to The Journal newspaper. Various Promotion Roles at Roughill, Tiger Tiger, VooDoo, May 2008 - December 2011 (3 years 8 months) Meeting and greeting customers, handing out flyer and products, monitoring sections of nightclubs, working guest list and looking after VIP customers, promoting the event and inviting customers via social media sites Facebook and Twitter, providinginformation to customers, selling tickets for events, raising awareness of the brand and club nights Various positions in retail at Moss Pharmacy, Select Clothes, Cresswell Ices April 2005 - December 2011 (6 years 9 months) Various roles in retail - providing friendly, efficient service, advise and information to customers, using the till, stock taking and ordering, cleaning, re-stocking shelves, cash handling and cashing up, display making Work Experience Placement Student - News Guardian & News Post Leader at North East Press October 2011 - October 2011 (1 month) One week placement where I wrote up stories and fillers using InCopy, assisted the photographers on location, interviewed public and professionals regarding the Metro train, attended court cases, shadowed staff, re-worded press releases and wrote to word counts. I had work published in newspapers News Guardian and News Post Leader, including several bylines.
