TOURIST VISA Tourist Visas are available with one, two or three entries. The one (1) entry visa has a validity of three months from date of issue. The two (2) and three (3) entry visas have a validity of six months from date of issue. On arrival in Thailand with a valid Tourist Visa nationals of the following countries are entitled to remain in Thailand for up to 60 days with each entry:

Nationals of all other countries are entitled to stays of maximum 30 days with each entry. If you have been granted a Tourist Visa please note the following:a) With a ONE entry Tourist Visa you must ensure you enter Thailand within the validity of the visa which is 3 months from date of issue. b) With a TWO or THREE entry Tourist Visa you must ensure you enter Thailand on your final visit before expiry of the visa which is 6 months from date of issue. On first arriving in Thailand pass through Thai Immigration where you will be granted either a 60-day or a 30-day stay, according to your nationality, and will receive a stamp in your passport giving the date you enter (ADMITTED) and the date by which you must exit (UNTIL). It is most important not to stay in Thailand beyond the exit (UNTIL) date or you will be fined when leaving the country and you could be detained. It is not permitted to stay continuously in Thailand for more than 60 (or 30) days but if you have a visa with more than one entry which has not been used you can re-enter for further stays of 60 (or 30) days until you have used up all entries. If you have a visa with more than one entry and wish to stay in Thailand for a further 60 (or 30) days it is necessary to visit a Thai Immigration Border Control Office before your 60 (or 30) days the stay expires, exit Thailand into a neighbouring country and re-enter to activate your next 60 (or 30) days. You can keep doing this until you have used all your entries provided this is within the validity of your visa. At the end of your only or final stay you must leave Thailand and you cannot re-enter until you obtain a new visa. You are not allowed to enter Thailand on a Tourist Visa for any purpose other than tourism.

1/7 NON-IMMIGRANT VISA

If your purpose of visiting Thailand is other than tourism you must be in possession of a valid Non-Immigrant Visa before you enter Thailand. The Non-Immigrant Visa can be granted for the following purposes of visit but only if you provide the required evidence:Category B Conducting business in Thailand as an employee of a non Thai company (ie a business based outside Thailand) or Taking up employment in Thailand with a company located in Thailand. or Undertaking a vocational training course (teaching, diving, boxing, etc). Category ED Studying in Thailand or Taking part in a work study/observation tour in Thailand or Participating in a project or seminar or Attending a business conference or trade fair or Attending as an official at a recognised event or Studying as a Buddhist Monk. Non-Immigrant Visas are available with single entry (validity 3 months) or with multiple entries (validity 12 months. Each entry allows stay of maximum 90 days. All entries must be made within validity of the visa. Visas applications are accepted only from persons who are residing in the UK at the time of application. Visas are dated on the day of issue, they cannot be forward dated. Visas are issued at the discretion of the Royal Thai Consulate (RTC). In the event of a visa not being granted by the RTC, the RTC accepts no liability whatsoever. In the event of loss or damage to any passport and/or document while in the possession of the RTC, liability will be limited to the commercial value of the passport or document only. The RTC accepts no liability for consequential loss. Fees charged for visas are collected as processing fees for the issue of the visa and once the visa has been issued all such fees are non refundable in any circumstances. Please note that a visa entitles the holder to travel to Thailand and request admission to enter the country. A visa does not automatically guarantee entry in to Thailand. Entry is granted only at the discretion of Immigration Officers at the point of entry in to Thailand. On entering Thailand the actual length of stay shall be determined and granted at the discretion of Immigration Officers according to the type and category of visa in possession.

4/7 SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS Applying by post: Postal applications should be sent to Royal Thai Consulate, Priory Court, Saxon Way, Hessle, Hull, HU13 9PB. We endeavour to process postal applications within 24 hours of receipt although this is not guaranteed, particularly during

the months of September, October and December when we recommend allowing two to three days. We recommend using Royal Mail Special Delivery which is a trackable service. You are also responsible for the return of your passport so you need to include with your application an extra 10 so that we can arrange return of your passport by Special Delivery to an address in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. Please note that Special Delivery is a sign-for service so someone will need to be at your address to receive your returned passport. You can request us to return your passport to any address but you must make this clear on the application form. More than one application and passport can be sent to us in the same envelope and we can return more than one passport to the same address provided the total weight does not exceed 500 grams. We do not accept any responsibility for passports, etc which may be lost while in transit to or from this consulate. Please be aware that if you are not in when Royal Mail attempts to deliver they do not always leave a card. Accordingly if you have not received your passport back within 7 days of sending it to us we advise you to check with your local Post Office. Failure to check within 7 days could result in your local Post Office returning the envelope to us which will delay you receiving your passport. Applying in person: Applications can be submitted in person at the Royal Thai Consulate, Priory Court, Saxon Way, Hessle, Hull, HU13 9PB between 09:30 and 16:00 Monday to Friday but excluding UK national holidays. It is necessary to book an appointment when applying in person, please telephone 01482 581668 and give at least 24 hours notice. Applications submitted in person are usually processed within 30 minutes. There is an additional 10 administration charge for this service. The validity period of visas commences on the date they are issued so do not apply earlier than necessary. If you provide us with credit or debit card details or a cheque which subsequently is not honoured we reserve the right to cancel the visa without notice. Furthermore we will pursue payment and we reserve the right to levy an additional charge relative to the time and cost involved in resolving the matter (minimum 5). HEALTH REQUIREMENTS For most travellers there are no special requirements, however, this is subject to change without notice. Persons holding passport of, having residence in or having recently been in a Yellow Fever Area must attach a copy of their valid International Health Certificate for Yellow Fever to their application and present their original certificate at the point of entry into Thailand. Please check the form Health Advice (available on our website) for details of which countries this applies to. HOURS OF BUSINESS:
