ACHIEVEMENT AND ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP

One or more $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to outstanding students of agriculture

by the Fort Bend County Farm Bureau.
To qualify for this award, the following guidelines must be met or exceeded:
1. Applicants parent or guardian must have been members of the Fort Bend County
Farm Bureau in good standing on the September 1st preceding the students high
school graduation date, and membership must be current as of the date of scholarship
award.
2. Applicant must be a graduating senior from one of Fort Bend Countys high schools.
3. Applicant shall demonstrate involvement in community and religious activities while
enrolled in a high school.
4. Applicant shall demonstrate involvement in 4H or FFA activities while enrolled in
high school.
5. Applicant shall demonstrate involvement in high school and academic activities while
enrolled in a high school.
6. Applicant may choose any field of advanced education above high school level.
7. Applicant must plan to enroll in college, university, or technical school in the fall
semester immediately following high school graduation.
8. Applicant must submit a properly completed official Fort Bend County Farm Bureau
Scholarship Application by deadline April 2.

Selection
1. Deadline for applications is April 2nd. Completed application, including a current
photo (wallet size or larger) must be received in the Fort Bend County Farm Bureau
office on 5253 Highway 36 Rosenberg, Texas on or before the application deadline.
No faxed applications will be accepted.
2. A scholarship committee consisting of Fort Bend County Farm Bureau board
members will screen the applications, and the finalists will be selected by the full
board
3. The selection will be made on or before May 1st.
4. Presentation of scholarships will be made at a Fort Bend County Farm Bureau Board
of Directors meeting.
5. Upon students notification to the Fort Bend County Farm Bureau of completed
registration at chosen institution, the Fort Bend County Farm Bureau will remit funds
to that institution in the amount of the scholarship. The Fort Bend County Farm
Bureau will pay the amount of $500 per semester. Total being two semesters,
equaling $1000.
6. Applications will be ranked as follows:
Community and Religious Activities
4H or FFA Activities
High School and Academics Activities
Future Plans
