The collection includes some of fashions most memorable images, including a close-up shot of Yves Saint Laurents Haute Couture Circa 1970, showing the designer walking among a blurred crowd of photographers. Other behind-the-scenes photographs from previous decades convey the glamorous faade of the catwalk and the captivating frenzy of fashion shows. Shots such as the one of Catherine Deneuve congratulating Yves Saint Laurent after a show with the paparazzi gathered around her, highlight Moores versatile representation of the fashion industry. This photograph epitomises the publicity generated by celebrity appearances at fashion shows.

hris Moore, renowned fashion photographer and visiting professor at the London College of Fashion (LCF), has chosen the Fashion Space Gallery at LCF to exhibit a unique collection that covers more than four decades of his work from the catwalk and behind the scenes.

The exhibition takes us through a historical journey of the catwalk and the different stages of Moores career: from his early days as a photographic assistant at Vogue where he spent his time photographing couture shows in Paris and developing film in hotel bathtubs to his later work, which included portraiture shots for magazines , such as She, Vanity Fair and Country Life. The iconic images on display are arranged in no particular order, as the exhibition works on the aesthetics of the images and mood they connote.
