Parodontitis?

Extraoral examination: High smile line. Examination of the oral cavity: Bleeding gums and red gingiva, few plaque, pockets found in the molar region and incisors. Migration of teeth.

Regenerative periodontal therapy. Possible regenerative procedures: Grafting procedures. Root surface biomodification. Growth regulatory factors for periodontal regeneration.
Isidor & Karring 1986
Upper Jaw
Regenerative periodontal therapy: Root surface biomodification using enamel matrix proteins. Emdogain: a purified acid extract of porcin origin contains enamel matrix derivates.
One year after treatment, the application of EMD during surgery showed statistically significant improvements in PAL (1.2 mm) and PPD reduction (0.8 mm) when compared to a placebo or a control. Results have to be interpreted with great caution and that the overall PAL gain may represent an overestimation of the actual treatment effect.
