Justin Harwood Period 4 2/6/11 Final Draft People around the globe deserve human rights.

People right now in Egypt are rebelling against the government because there human rights are being violated. I think the U.S.A. should get involved because if you were in another country without rights wouldnt you want someone to help you? I support human rights overseas, this is because It is cruel to stand by and watch human rights be violated, citizens who do not feel safe in a war ridden country reserve protection, As an international leader many feel it is our to promote human rights in other counties. Other examples of Human rights being violated is in African countries because they are still developing. Darfur is one example of human rights being destroyed. To launch, to sit and watch human rights be violated and do nothing is wrong. We are all human do you think they deserve to be treated that way just because of an evil dictator. In Cuba Fidel Castro is making all the people feel unsafe and want to migrate out. Everyone deserves an equal chance at life. Over 200,000 people have died in Darfur(weekly reader corporation ,2007). the vugoslav police army and police force launched attack on ethnic Albanians, a minority by destroying property(weekly reader corporation ,1999). Following that, citizens in a war ridden country deserve to be protected. There are many places where people get attacked by terrorist who we are at war with and die. The soldiers make them feel safe. After invading Iraq over the past three months, there has been a sharp and sustained drop in all forms of violence(Muir,2007). Children as young as 8 in Colombia start training to be in the army and then go to war(weekly reader corporation,1999). These children should not be forced to go to war. They are to young and do not deserve to die just because they live in Columbia.

In addition, I think as an international leader that many people look up to, we should promote human rights overseas. If we help those countries out the may help us out in the future. It is always good to build relationships as a nation. From Obama state of the union address Americas moral example must always shine for all who search for freedom and justice and dignity(Obama, 2011). We should get the United Nations to help other countries who are struggling with human rights. Before we invaded Iraq there was a lot of violence and the government could not stop it, we help by lowering the violence and the government is improving.(A new government has formed in Iraq nine months after the election)(yanyan,2010). If we help fixed other countries governments we could have a peaceful happier world. In the light of human rights you can see that is could greatly benefit us. It builds relations and makes you feel good for helping people out. If we help other countries and build relation we could open up trade and boost our economy. I am pro for human rights overseas, this is because It is cruel to stand by and watch human rights be violated, citizens who do not feel safe in a war ridden country reserve protection, As an international leader many feel it is our to promote human rights in other counties. Everyone deserves an equal chance at life. Terrorist need to be stopped to help out citizens.
