A hallmark of SAP Business One is its versatility. Simple, yet powerful, SAP Business One covers processes from purchasing, sales, final assembly, financial accounting, and banking. The system is subdivided into ten modules to cover each of these areas, and more, in detail. Administration This module contains the basic system settings for currency exchange rates, system setup, and authorizations, as well as settings for general email and short message service (SMS), online alerts, data import, and export functions. General Ledger This is the module for managing all your financial accounting data, such as general ledger and current account postings, budgets, and reporting. Sales and Accounts Receivable This module concentrates on sales processes from the moment you calculate the price until you issue an invoice. To install SAP Business One on your server, insert the SAP Business One software CD in the CD-ROM drive. The steps that you need to follow are also described in your SAP Business One System Setup Guide (SAP_Business_One_7.0_System_ Setup_ Guide_EN.pdf).under Set Up the SAP Business One Server.
4. SAP BUSINESS ONE CLIENT INSTALLATION ON THE SERVER

To install the SQL server, place the corresponding CD in the CD-ROM drive. The CD starts automatically. If the installation screen does not appear immediately, double-click the setup.exe in Microsoft Windows Explorer, which is located under the letter that represents your CD-ROM drive. You are now ready to load the software. After successfully installing the Microsoft SQL Server and SAP Business One software on your server, you are ready to install the client. In the SAP Business One directory, you can find the SBO_SHR subdirectory. If you have carried out your installation optimally, you can find the subdirectory under C:\Program Files\SAPManage\SAP Business One \SBO_SHR\Clients\Client_Setup\Setup.e xe To install the client, double-click the setup.exe file in the Clients subdirectory. 5. LICENSING AND LICENSE KEY

To use your SAP Business One software lawfully and as contractually agreed, you only can run your system with one of the license keys assigned by SAP. You can run additional installations for up to 31 days without a license key (after the first posting), which allows you the time to arrange for a permanent license key. However, at the end of this period, you will no longer have access to SAP Business One. The License Key for Your SAP Business One System. To request a license key for your SAP Business One system, you first need a hardware key. You can register for a hardware key in the SAP Business One system. To do so, choose Start Programs SAP Business One, or open SAP Business One by doubleclicking the shortcut on your desktop. Warning: Do not enter a user in the logon dialog box that appears. Choose Enter and copy the hardware key specified by the system to the dialog box. Inform your SAP Business One sales and service partner about the details of this hardware key. Your partner will then request the license key for you as described below on the SAP Service Marketplace.

You will receive your license key by email. After you have received the license file, copy it to your computer and then restart SAP Business One. When the license query appears, enter the license file. The following information is relevant only for SAP Business One sales and service partners: Applying for License Keys on SAP Service Marketplace On the SAP Service Marketplace under the quick link licensekeys (service.sap.com/licensekeys), choose SAP Solutions for Small and Midsize Businesses. Choose Request License Key and then follow the instructions provided on the Web page that appears. You can find information about how to uninstall SAP Business One and return your license key on the SAP Service Marketplace under the quick link licensekeys. Please note that you only need to carry out the process described once.
