After presenting p`Bau smarNa last year, we are now encouraged to present p`Bau icaMtna,
our offering on the occasion of the Golden jubilee of Narasinha Havan at
Veling, Goa on November 3-4-5, 2011. A few stao~s have been rewritten. I hope
the saamaUihk Bajanas and additional bhajan collection will spice up today's need of
singing God's glories.
We have a centuries-old glorious history behind us and we need to
remind ourselves the sacrifices our Saraswat forefathers made. Communal
living, temples, spirituality and tradition of idol worship bound them together to
their roots. Natural intelligence coupled with a strong belief in the Lord took
them to prosperity wherever they went.
We all are children of one God, each of us a fragmental part of prmaa%maa,
the Supersoul. To serve our real father throughout our life is our natural duty
and to reach Him is our goal. God loves all His children and wants us to be
happy forever. We shall become His instruments to conduct His plan for us on
this earth. Let us serve Lord, like p`lhad maharaja and Radharani.
We seek dignity for every person in our society, by creating a social
condition through ancient and modern education. Individual YaaoDSa saMskars and
public welfare dova ya& like naRisaMh hvana sacrifices are aimed to strengthen the vaNaaEamaQama- prescribed duties and obligations, for smooth social order, happy living
in this world and thereafter.
Our forefathers lived very happily. Their spare time was well spent
collectively on spirituality. Today, our generation seems to be very busy,
chasing for instant material pleasures, but yet often seems confused, restless
and unhappy. Some of us are blessed with good modern education and
material prosperity. Now let us be guided by the universal Git philosophy, as
advised by the Lord himself : Bagavata naarayaNaona svayaM. We shall use our precious time
for saaQanaa, spirituality and achieve our life goal.

The Banyan tree, located on the hill near the northern entrance to the tank
(Talayi) or EaI laxmaInarisaMh tIqa- and later shifted to the temple upon its
construction.
Who we are? : The sufferings and sacrifices of our Sraswat
forefather families may be largely unrecorded in the history pages. They fled
across borders, through dense forests, rivers and sea, under cover of
darkness, leaving behind every possession but valuables and family deity.
They sunk others in wells and rivers. Once a group of such 30 fleeing families
arrived at Kundpur coast by boat. The locals drove them out. They ran out of
drinking water and supplies. The boat went along river to Basrur. Locals were
afraid that the Portuguese may follow! The refugees used sign language to
convince Kannadiga locals who allowed them to stay in a graveyard near the
forest. Some died there due to tiger and snake attacks. Our Swmiji rushed for
help to Basrur, convinced locals, purchased some land and settled migrants.
Later a similar thing happened at Harkade. This is how just formed
Jeevottam Math proved a savior.
Golden Chapter page 54 of [ithasa -History by Chandrakant S. Keni,
records one such great son of the soil, Narayan Vittal Malya of Vern, Go
(where Mahlas temple existed). He moved to Kumta with his wife. This
couple sacrificed their whole life for Saraswat cause. With his wits and
wisdom, he won 5 lands at gaMgaaoiL\L, haonnaavar, vyakTapur, homaaDI, kasarkaoD, from
Keladi koLid King, for the use of the displaced from Go and their temples. In
1668, he constructed Sri Venkatesh temple at Gangolli and got land for ina%ya
ivainayaaoga expenses from Keladi Rni Chennammji. Later the temple was
donated to Jeevottam Math.
During the religious oppression, our Sraswat forefathers fled South to
costal Bhatkal, Mangalore, Cochin and neighbouring areas, with whatever
they could lay hands on and their family Gods. Some moved North: Kudal to
Kalyan etc. But they remained connected to their origin, culture, tradition,
customs and language for centuries.
Now there are over 135 Narasinha mahajana Kulvis in Go and more
than 700 spread in other states and are multiplying. Go was liberated in 1961.
Our Sansthn is very accessible since then. We shall repay our dues to our
forefathers by preserving our proud culture and regain further prosperity
through spirituality.

Before entering temple, beg pardon for any impurities, like wearing
leather belt, lapses in baa*ya Sauiw. Look at and pray to the sauvaNa- klaSa Kalash,
from where Universal Divine energy is flowing into temple. Touch the steps
and pray at the entry door for gracing entry and get ready for kRpaSaIvaa-d
blessings.
Be one with God in heart and as a child, submit offerings to His lotus
feet padkmala, then focus on His heart and eyes. Fold your hands, start chanting
EaI narisaMh maM~ or ! namaao Bagavato laxmaInarisaMhaya in your mind. Make minimum 3 ([cCa ik`yaa

rounds:Shiva 0, Durg 1, Vishnu 3, Rma 4, Mruti 5, Datta 7 and Ganapati 8).
After round, from close proximity pray inagau-Na $p and at full round, pray and
surrender SarNaagait namaskar. At the end, take tIqa- p`saad blessings with dovata smarNa. Sit
in the temple for some time chanting in mind naama jap and take Prasd. Before
departing pray, for kindness kRpad`iYT and get blessings and protection till you
revisit the temple at your earliest.
While in temple, possibly never ring temple bell loudly, except during
rati, Pooj and calling attention of devotees. Wear light coloured or simple
cloths. You will be able to see and enjoy the Lord's decorations better.
Cooperate to see that serene atmosphere prevail all-around you. Follow
common discipline and set noble example of sew for others to follow.
Cleanliness is Godliness. Never look for services from others. See how you
can serve some cause or someone in need. Do not use soap while taking bath
in EaI laxmaInarisaMh tIqa- . Actively participate in every ]%sava, Havan, Narasinha
Jayanti and Pratisthpana Day etc. and other events. Practice serving the
Lord as His eternal child and be happy.

4. Who Am I ?

Here, while living in this world, we have to achieve our life goal. We
should strive to achieve jaIvanmau> or a liberated state. Or be situated in our own
constitutional position as an eternal servant of Almighty. Meaning a kma-fla%yaaiga
renounced one with knowledge that everything in existence is Lords property.
We are here only to carry out His plans. This relieves one from Material
bondage.

kIit-: EaIvaa-k\ ca naarINaaM smaRitmao-Qaa QaRit: xamaa. Krishna has 64 or even unlimited super
excellent qualities. Beloved consort madna maaohna maaoihina : Rdhrni is the internal
potency dOvaI p`kRit of Krishna. She was bestowed with 33 Divine rgs to give
an example to the whole world of an ideal lover and ideal feminine nature.
Actually she is the reflection of the Lord only. Rdh - Krishna are like
Sunshine - Sun. Together only they can exist. Krishna was firmly in her heart.
Her qualities of exquisite beauty $pmaQaur, pleasantness icar , cleverness catur ,
dexterity dxa, shyness )Imana\, great love p`omamaQaur etc. complimented Krishna for
enjoying his youthful proclivities in her company.
SyaamasauMdr madnamaaohna
Rdhrni like black bee Ba`mar flying to lotus flower. She had beautiful chakor
(bird)-like eyes, moon like face, golden body complexion. Her heart was full of
love for the Supreme Lover. Her beauty enhanced the beauty of the ornaments
she wore! She longed for Krishna, the Supreme Enjoyer of all pleasures. She
was prepared to give all for Krishna's satisfaction. He too enjoyed her
emotions: pride, fright, fatigue, frustration, jealousy, etc.
Krishna once said, When I like to enjoy the beauty of Rdhrni, I
make joking remarks at her which she listens with rapt attention. But by body
language, eyebrows and counter words she neglects Me. She becomes
beautiful, increases My pleasure one hundred times! In madness, Rdhrni
once churned water instead of curds. Krishna too matched playfully by
pretending to milk a bull!
Krishna is dancing with me alone. was the feeling of each gopis' heart
during rasa dance. Rdhrni felt every night's rasa as her first dance with
Krishna. She felt the entire night passing by like seconds! Body fragrance of
Krishna - a mix of camphor, lotus and sandalwood, increases her desire,
bewilders and she becomes a mad woman in ecstasy!
Krishna embraces Rdhrni in such expert manner, that it appears
like a dancing festival of peacocks. She gets intoxicated and feels like a female
elephant enthused by a male elephant. She is ever-youthful because she
satisfyes Krishna's every desire of love. Once at Yamun, when attacked by
strong Krishna for fun, she was disturbed, rejected Him, but within felt icar,
great satisfaction. She excelled by controlling Krishna with her selfless
spiritual love.
In a family, a grandchild sometimes gets more attention than one's own
child. Similarly Rdhrni's ability to control Krishna by love, Aa%masamap-Na, by
satisfying His every desire for love, put her ahead of 16,108 married wives;
though each one of them was attached to Krishna like iron to the magnet.
When Krishna permanently left for Mathur, forgetfully Rdhrni
sent a message to Krishna, that M Yashod is feeling separation from Him.
Each moment appeared like million years. She wept, confused, heard vaoNaunaad,
remembered their pastimes together, sang His prayers, felt Krishna's blissful
embrace in heart for ever.
