DXR 700

Exceptional Performance for Wireless Connection

4x/8xDS-1, DS-3+DS-1

DXR 700 is a high-performance, medium-capacity radio. With 16 QAM modulation, diversity options and a lower range of operating frequencies it is ideal for mobile, access and private networks where extra distance is called for or where link densities or planning restrictions demand spectral efficiency. Unique Platform Flexibility Having both split-mount and all-indoor terminal configurations is unique to the DXR 700. Split-mount with a pole-mounted outdoor RF unit maximizes system gain and minimizes installed cost by eliminating the waveguide feeder. The all-indoor configuration offers easier maintenance, reduced safety compliance issues and protection of the RF transceiver from extremes of weather. Links may be configured with a split-mount radio at one end and all-indoor at the other. Wide Frequency, Capacity and Protection Options Bands extend from 5.9 to 11.7 GHz with 4xDS-1, 8xDS-1 and DS-3 capacities. The DS-3 radio includes a DS-1 wayside channel. Non-protected, protected and space or frequency diversity configurations are available. RF units are capacity-independent and the common IDU is frequency-independent. Exceptional Path Availability DXR 700 is engineered to deliver error-free operation over long and difficult paths. The high system gain combined with forward error correction, adaptive equalization and diversity options delivers exceptional performance. The lower frequency options also play a part as bands below 10 GHz are essentially unaffected by rain. Reliable operation over LOS link distances up to 100 km and more are made possible. Spectrally Efficient Modulation is 16 QAM for 4xDS-1 and 64 QAM for 8xDS-1 and DS-3 to fully comply with FCC band plans across all DXR 700 ANSI bands. The spectral efficiency benefits include reduced spectrum fees and simplified frequency planning. Where channel availability is tight, or where an increase in capacity is required within an existing license, the DXR 700 may provide the solution. High Reliability DXR 700 is a rugged, reliable radio with proven field performance. Comprehensive Management Two network management options are available for DXR 700: ProVision and DXR NET. ProVision is Stratex Networks element manager, a powerful Unix-based tool for all Stratex Networks radios. For DXR-only networks there is DXR NET, a Windows-based manager for IBM compatible PCs.
