Distinguish President, Respected teachers and my dear Friends AOA!

Today my topic is education in Pakistan Sir, As we all know that Education is must for all the members of a nation and Islam too gives great importance to education as one Hadith of Prophet MUHAMMAD (S.A.W) says that acquiring education is mandatory for every Muslim man and woman. R. Sir the system of education of a country reflects its ideology and we also know that every nation developed its education system according to her needs and requirements. But R. Sir unfortunately we have no education system of our own. The present system of education is the continuation of the British system of education . Which are not fulfilling our requirements. R.Sir this is a historical fact that Britishers not only corrupted our economics system, but also destroyed our centuries old social and education systems. They introduced a system which were not only useless for us but also against all the values of Islam. we inherited this system from the British raj and we are still sticking with it. Britishers developed this system to create a class of people in our society to safeguard their interests. R. Sir There are many flaws in this system, but as I have very short time so I will till about some of them. The number one flaw which I think is the most important is that there are three education systems in our country (1) English medium (2) Urdu medium and (3) Madrassah and no Govt ever tried to unified all these three to develop a unified education system. Which reflect our national ideology and fulfill our needs. The number three flaw in this system is that it kill the creativity in the students because it stresses on memorizing books rather than gaining some practical knowledge. That is why that for the last so many years we could produce any scientist, intellectual or a man of letter of international standard. This system is producing thousands of unemployed youths every year.

R. Sir the second flaw is that this system gives too much importance to English language. We consider English remedy for all our problems. Although English is an important international language, but we can see that all countries in the world who are now considered as developed countries got development by developing their own system of education in their own national language. The fourth flaw in the system is that it stresses on the secularization of education means religion has nothing to do with education. Which against our religion because Islam is a complete code of life. The fifth flaw is that every Govt put education on the bottom of their list of priorities and for many years no one at the helm of the affairs has any time to revise the syllabus , and the reason for this is that their children do not read in these educational institutions . Numbers of schools in our country are either without teachers or are without any infrastructure. R.Sir today we are at the crossroad of history . every nation of the world are spending much on education to secure the future of their children and sustain their development. R.Sir Today you our teachers, parents and the civil society have two choices (1) to give us good quality education or(2) stick with the old system with no fruitful results. R.Sir I assure you that there are many Ibne seena,s, Alkhwazami and allama Iqbal,s in these students. They only need opportunities and if provided they can prove their selves , like 9 years old Arfa karim (late) who became the youngest person in the world to get Microsoft certificate. I would like to end my speech with this Urdu verse Hamain pata hay ke hum hain cheraghe akhere shab Hamaray bbad andhera nahee ujala hay inshALLAH Pakistan paindabad
