OBSERVATION METHOD
The observation method is related to behavioral science, in which the information is obtained by way of investigators own direct observation without asking from respondent and suitable in studies which deal with respondents who are not capable of giving verbal reports of their feelings. The advantage of this method is that, subjective bias is eliminated, if observation is done accurately. Secondly, the information obtained under this method relates to what is currently happening. Thirdly, this method is independent of respondents willingness to respond and as such is relatively less demanding of active cooperation on the part of respondents as happens to be the case in the interview or the questionnaire method. But this method is an expensive and limited. There are various types like, participative, non-participative, controlled and non-controlled observation. The point to be kept in mind by researcher is, What should be observed? How the observation should be recorded? How the accuracy of the observation can be ensured? structured, unstructured,

INTERVIEW METHOD
The interview method of collecting data involves presentation of oral-verbal stimuli & reply in terms of oral-verbal responses. It is used through personal interview and, if possible, through telephone interview. There are two types: personal and telephone interview. The Personal interview refers to asking questions in a face to face contact. It may be in the form of direct or indirect oral investigation and also suitable for intensive investigations. The structured observation is a

set of predetermined questions and of highly standardized techniques of recording is used. As against it, unstructured interviews are characterized by a flexibility of approach to questioning. The Telephone interview method of collecting information consists in contacting respondents on telephone itself. It saves time and money, Recall and calls back; no field staff is required; not suitable for intensive surveys; possibility of bias etc.
