To Be on the Public Eye Lately all TV shows or public debates deal with a burning issue of our life, that is whether the public has the right to know all about the private lives of the public figures of the country and not only. To what extent are we allowed to break their privacy and are we legally permitted to do so? From the very beginning there should be made clear there are two distinct types of public figures: the politicians and everything connected to this domain and the persons belonging to all sorts of branches of mass media: singers, actors, journalists, TV or radio stars. When you vote for a person to represent your best interest in the Parliament or the Government of your country you have the right to know almost everything about that person, professionally speaking. We should not be interested where the senator or the depute spent his holiday or how much money he spent. We are to be interested in what he does for the town, the country, the citizens. Furthermore all people should have the right to know all about the president of the country as he is our image for the rest of the world and he is associated with our nation. What he does with his private life is his business but when his actions affect us all things change. As for the other group of VIPs that fill up the pages of the newspapers or the magazines we read every day thing have gone crazy. Public figures are afraid to go out without wearing make-up or suitable clothes as the paparazzi are following them all over the places just to capture something that would make sensation on the next day newspapers' front pages. Their private lives have to suffer and a fierce campaign against this kind of journalists has been initiated. It is quite obvious to want to know more about your favorite actor or singer but limits should be imposed and they should be the ones who decide what they want to reveal or not about their lives. Everyone of us is the master of our lives. As long as your image remains stainless the rest lacks importance. Let's put ourselves only for a couple of minutes in their shoes and see what happens. I'm sure we will change our mind and give them all a break. To Be on the Public Eye written by Herminne Tonita for FamousWhy.com

Text :
The Price of Fame In the Godfather Part II-Hyman Roth looks at Michael "Don" Corleone and says, "Micheal, this is the life we have chosen..." And in essence, fame is the life celebrities have chosen too. In life, we make decisions and the decision to live your life in the spotlight is just one of them. Perhaps with fame comes a whole host of responsibilities and obligations. Perhaps many "celebrities" are ill-equipped to deal with all that comes with fame and fortune. However, this is the price they pay for choosing the spotlight. Being famous is like any other job - there are parts that are very pleasant and other aspects that are not. Sadly, we hear so much about today's fleeting celebrities who are thrown at the public through the media who act in a totally inappropriate manner. People like Brittney, Paris, Lindsay, Nicole, to name a few may be quite talented in their chosen professions; however it is not their "day jobs" that we comment upon. Rather it is their activities when away from the Recording Studio, Movie Set, or TV Show that raise eyebrows. The media exploits their antics; the more outrageous the better. Understandably, there is money (the bottom-line) in gossip. However, no one is putting a drink in their hands, drugs in their pocketbooks, asking them to dance and cavort in Clubs until sunrise, or giving them ignorant attitudes. Whether they feel this sort of behavior enhances their fame matters little. What matters is how poorly they look to not only us, but to their families and to themselves. There are countless thousands of celebrities that go about their lives in a far quieter fashion. Surely, being the limelight comes with some "baggage" but they handle it as we all handle the baggage of our jobs and lives. Surely, starring in a movie or music video is not more difficult than waking up at 5:00 am every morning and heading out to work on a subway or bus to labor for eight, ten, twelves hours and trudge home to face bills and family responsibilities. In life we, must deal with frustration, anger, and exhaustion and attempt to live our lives in a peaceful and quiet fashion. If celebrities believe that "looking good," or being "on" every minute of the day is part of the job or an obstacle, than I suggest that they look elsewhere for a profession. No one forces them to act out in the spotlight when they shop, do the laundry or pick up the kids from school. If the media showed celebrities just going about their daily lives, as well all do, than all the hoopla would die-down. President Harry S. Truman basically summed it up, "If it is too hot in the kitchen-then get out." If celebrities feel the price tag for fame and fortune is too high, than they can move on. Most do not have the financial binds that many of us do to seek out alternative employment. The question should really be "What price do we pay for living our lives?" by Kelly Steier

Text :
The Public Has a Right To Know About The Private Lives of Public Figures To what extent does the public have the right to know about the private lives of public figures? This question should always come into our minds each time we want to find out more and more about the lives of public figures in our country and abroads. Each one of us has the right to intimacy and this is also the case of famous persons because, despite their social status, they are also human beings who need to be respected from this point of view. However, mass-media and paparazzi are continuously hunting after them, trying to find out some spicy information about their professional and private lives. They do this in order to feed the public's desire to keep in touch with the lastest news regarding the lives of public figures. From here we should infer the fact that public figures have the right to their own privacy and that there are cases when they undergo terrible moments from different reasons. It is the moment when they wish no paparazzi would follow them nor take pictures as they don't feel like in the best mood to give interviews or answer stupid questions. Many times they have to disguise themselves as not to be recognized by the paparazzi who would come for one more interview. All this represents a stress for public persons which they don't have why to stand. On the other hand, the public has the right to know some facts about the private lives of public persons from reasons such as appreciation or just simple curiosity. Finding more about a person you admire helps you know that person better and build up an opinion about his life and ambitions. The public is very curious to find out interesting facts about famous people and the mass-media has to fulfill the task of informing the audience. Newspapers, magazines, shows on TV all have as subjects of discussion what has recently happened to a famous pop star, what is the latest car that Puff Diddy bought for him, where did Jeniffer Lopez spend her last holiday or who is the secret lover of Justin Timberlake. As I take it, all this need of being permanently informed with spicy details comes from people's wish to escape the routine and have new and new subjects to discuss when drinking the tea with their friends or family. However, we should respect other's right to privacy, too.
