Greene and Hima push real hard to get Davis off the ground. Team Work!
2007 Dining In
By: C/2Lt. Greene
On November 30 our Squadron had a Dining- In at the American Legion . The reception began at 2100 hours by the posting of the colors. Once the colors were posted we had a POW-MIA table led by Cadet Lt. Davis and Cadet Lt Ogburn. After the POW-MIA the Grog bowl was set-up by Major Hima. The Grog consisted of Tang, salt, marshmallows, Lucky Charms, dirt from Major Himas shoe (which of coarse we all loved Major Hima. Thanks for carrying on the tradition), and other gross things. The Grog was then pronounced open by Mr. Vice (Cadet Fowlkes). All cadets were Grogged at least once and most were Grogged twice. Instead of going to the Grog some cadets did stupid performances such as the robot, Im a Little Teapot, the Chicken Dance, the Macarena , and Reciting the alphabet (forward or backwards). Our dinner consisted of Lasagna, salad, meatballs, and bread. The lasagna was prepared by Mr. David Rudd. Following dinner, we had promotions given by Sgt. Lyles. C/CMSgt Greene received her Billy Mitchell Award and was promoted to cadet 2Lt. Group 5 commander, Lt. Col Thigpen, promoted cadet Greene. After the promotions Lt. Col Golliher spoke and the colors were retired. A special thanks to everyone who helped make this possible.
