IDEA: Use whole food DOG diet to educate dog owners about cannabinoids; to open a new market for hemp-derived HUMAN therapeutics.
Why Dogs?
Dog biology shares many similarities with humans; dogs are used to test experimental human medicines and dog medicine is often simply repackaged human medication. Dogs live their life in a shorter period of time (Dog Years), and demonstrate sickness and improved health faster than humans. The WOLF Diet is virtually identical to human diets prescribed for people with intestinal disorders, skin conditions, and a range of other conditions. Dogs dont get drug tested at work or otherwise worry about trace amounts of THC in their food. This allows a dog to demonstrate the benets (and lack of detrimental effects) of cannabinoids to a skeptical owner.
Whole Diet
Ready-mix complete diet
Direct replacement for commercial dog food. Complete mix of all ingredients required by The WOLF Diet. Freeze-dried raw meats and other ingredients can be stored cheaply for long periods of time and provide all the benets of fresh raw ingredients.
Animal-derived Ingredients
Raw meat
Organic free-range beef, bison, pork, and wild game. Grass-fed chicken, turkey and other poultry. Salmon, white sh, crab, shrimp and other wild caught seafood.
Offal
Livers, hearts, kidneys and other animal guts. Stomach tripe from cows and bison. Seafood guts and other waste products.
Bones
Finely powdered beef, bison, and poultry bone can be added to all meat blends. Small and large chunk whole beef and bison bones can be added to food or sold as chew toys. Seafood shells and bones can be powdered or rough ground and added to all meat blends.
Plant-derived Ingredients
Hemp
Whole hemp seeds for texture. Hemp oil for protein and Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids. Raw hemp chaff for all medicinal cannabinoids: THC, CBD, CBN, THCV, CGC, CBG.
Poop disposal
Dogs on The WOLF Diet will naturally have smaller, less foul-smelling poop that naturally biodegrades several times faster than waste from dogs on a commercial food diet. Compost accelerator sprays and powders can be repackaged as WOLF Diet - Poop Compost Accelerator to highlight this difference and naturally decompose the waste within days.
Why Freeze-dried?
Preserves benecial bacteria, vitamins and enzymes indenitely. Unlike dehydrated food, freeze-dried foods rehydrate into a similar consistency as raw. 80% reduction in product bulk; retains 98% of nutrients. Can be stored and transported at room temperature for long periods of time without losing quality. Allows for distributed and asynchronous manufacturing systems.
Applicability to Humans
When the meat in The WOLF Diet is cooked, this diet suddenly looks like many of the miracle diets intended to treat intestinal disorders, degenerative disease, skin conditions, and many other common health conditions.
IDEA: A new NON-PROFIT rooted in local communities to source high quality ingredients and make food at the LOWEST COST possible.
Stakeholder Benets
Jobs for unemployed veterans, disabled, food stamp recipients and other disadvantaged communities. Suppliers qualify for a variety of tax incentives for working with the non-prot. Non-prot qualies for a variety of government incentives and tax breaks that lower the total effective cost of production. Decentralized freeze-dried production enables asynchronous manufacturing and warehousing of seasonal ingredients. Access to small-scale organic producers across the continent not otherwise economically viable. Ability over time to expand and include virtually all supply chain activities of the dog food company and any human products that may follow.
Anatomy of Operations
The Local Food Project is organized around local chapters that source ingredients from within their community. Local Chapters
Source local meat and byproducts. Collect almost spoiled produce from local grocers. Mix recipes and prepare raw meats for freeze-drying.
Freeze-drying Facility
Regional freeze-drying facilities receive ready to dry material from local chapters. Dry and stockpile raw materials. Perform limited assembly of dried ingredients.
Final Assembly
Receive all ingredients from regional freeze-drying plants. Source materials not available to local chapters. Assemble all nal products. Final distribution.

Government Incentives
Virtually all expenses related to The Food Project will qualify for multiple government incentives.
Employment incentives:
Grants and offsets available for hiring veterans, disabled, food stamp recipients, and other low-income unemployed people. Public/private grant money available for back to work job training programs.
Tax deductions:
All food donated or discounted eligible for tax deductions. Equipment or facilities donated eligible for tax deductions.
Financial Incentives
Capital expenses:
Virtually all cost for freeze drying equipment and other industrial-scale food processing can be shifted to the non-prot. Non-prot may qualify for preferential nancing in partnership with local banks.
Long-term Expansion
The Local Food Project can expand into human food products and alternative forms of local food production. Urban Farming
Urban greenhouse and indoor gardening programs. Produce fresh fruit and vegetables locally, yearround.
CSA
Urban Farming Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
Produce Shares are sold to the community to offset costs of production. Shareholders receive xed amount of produce on preset schedule.
Aquaponics
Closed-loop sh farming and hydroponic vegetable production. Locally produce fresh sh and produce year-round.
TerraCycle
Aquaponics TerraCycle
Recycling company transforms waste streams into new consumer products. For more info: www.terracycle.com
