THE APOSTLES CREED I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ,

his only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; The third day he rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen. GLORIA PATRI Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen. DOXOLOGY Praise God from whom all blessings flow; Praise him, all creatures here below; Praise him above, ye heavenly host: Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

Lenten Opportunities

Invite a Friend Sunday runs every Sunday through Easter and of course onward! During this Lenten Season instead of giving something up why not try doing something different like praying faithfully for a friend who does not know Christ or who has a great need. Plan on inviting them to worship some time during the Lenten season. We would love to host your neighbors, relatives and friends in worship. Please make sure you introduce them to others in the church. April 1st is Palm Sunday. There will be an Easter Egg hunt for the children following a shortened Sunday school lesson. It will be held in the ballfield depending upon the weather. Please start bringing in your plastic filled eggs nowthere is a basket in the narthex to collect them. There are also empty eggs that you can take and fill. Small candies, pennies, stickers or the like would be great fillers. Everyone is welcome to attend. April 5th, Maundy Thursday, we will gather for a covered dish meal at 6:30 pm followed by worship and communion. April 8, Easter Sunrise Service with Aldine United Methodist Church will be held at the Old Church. Pastor Mike Chapman will be preaching. We will be hosting the breakfast following worship service in the social hall. The time of the service will be determined soon. Easter Morning Worship Service, 10 am. There will not be Sunday School classes this day.

The flowers this morning are presented in loving memory of George Coombs by the String family.

The Missions of the Month for March are Sharon & Glen Geraghty and Compassion International. Sharon & Glenn Geraghty are striving to bring Gods work to the inner city. They work with young people and families who are their neighbors by meeting peoples physical, emotional and spiritual needs. They have recently moved to Chester, PA to continue their work with World Impact. Please keep them and their children, Morgan and Micah, in your prayers as they continue their ministry. Compassion International is the other ministry of the month. Compassion Sunday is March 18th. When you sponsor a child you plant a seed of hope in the heart of an impoverished boy or girl in a developing country. Sponsorship provides educational, social and health benefits through a local church in the community where the child lives. The child will be involved in Christian teaching and learn that Jesus deeply loves him or her. Please keep these ministries in your prayers. There are 12 assisted listening devices available for people to better hear the worship service. They are located in a basket in the narthex. CD copies of our worship service are also available every Sunday in the narthex. Join us for a prayer time every Sunday morning in the youth lounge before church at 9:20am.
