While the Federal Government offers a satellite phone subsidy scheme covering up to 85% of the cost of a satellite phone for eligible applicants, the paper based application process means that for many needing access to this solution now, the sales cycle can take 30 40 days before they are able to get connected, which is simply outrageous, he said.
