Verify installation of the GEARAspi driver set

On 32bit Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Vista, Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7 1. Verify that the following files exist: GearAspi.dll in Windows\System32 GearAspiWDM.sys in Windows\System32\Drivers GEARAspiWDM.inf in Windows\inf gearaspiwdmx86.cat in Windows\system32\CatRoot\{F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E500C04FC295EE}and/or in Windows\system32\DRVSTORE\GEARAspiWD_<GUID> 2. In the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} key make sure that there exists an UpperFilters value of type REG_MULTI_SZ. UpperFilters should contain GEARAspiWDM so that it is after the 'redbook' entry (if it exists) but before any Roxio driver entries ('Cdralw2k' and 'pwd_2k, if they exist). 4. In the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{6D8078847D21-11CF-801C-08002BE10318} key make sure that there exists an UpperFilters value of type REG_MULTI_SZ. UpperFilters should contain GEARAspiWDM 5. In the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{CE5939AEEBDE-11D0-B181-0000F8753EC4} key make sure that there exists an UpperFilters value of type REG_MULTI_SZ. UpperFilters should contain GEARAspiWDM Note that REG_MULTI_SZ string values use UNICODE characters (double byte) and the entire string value must be terminated with a double NULL character. 6. In the system information file (enter msinfo32.exe in Start | Run...) verify that GEARAspiWDM is listed under System Summary | Software Environment | System Drivers. Verify that the following files exist: GEARAspi.dll (32bit version) in Window\SysWOW64 GEARAspi64.dll (64bit version) in Windows\System32 GearAspiWDM.sys (64bit version) in Windows\System32\Drivers GEARAspiWDM.inf to Windows\inf

Gearaspiwdmx64.cat in Windows\system32\CatRoot\{F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E500C04FC295EE} and/or in Windows\system32\DRVSTORE\GEARAspiWD_<GUID>
