1. PURPOSE: 1.1 To detect hearing loss 1.2 To measure hearing and ear function 1.3 To evaluate mixed hearing loss

2. DEFINITION: 2.1 It is a battery of tests to measure hearing and ear function. These tests are usually done by an audiologist to confirm and define hearing loss.

3. RESPONSIBILITIES: 3.1 Nurse ambulatory care and medical staff

4. POLICY: 4.1 Evaluation of hearing includes: 4.2 Frequency number of sound wave emanating from a source per second, measured as cycles per second, measured as cycles per second, or hertz (Hz).
