Victoria of the United Kingdom known simply as Queen Victoria (London, May 24, 1819 - Isle of Wight, January

22, 1901) was Queen of the United Kingdom and Empress of India from June 20, 1837 until his death. His reign lasted more than 63 years and still is the longest in the history of the United Kingdom. In addition to being Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, was the first to claim the title of Empress of India. His long reign was also known as "Victorian." His reign was marked by a great expansion of the British Empire, and was preceded by the first industrial revolution, a period of great social, economic and technological developments in the United Kingdom. Victoria was the last monarch of the House of Hanover, as his successor, and his son, belongs to the House of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, which is the lineage of the father.

Victoria Day is a federal Canadian public holiday celebrated on the last Monday before May 25, in honour of Queen Victoria's birthday. The date is also, simultaneously, that on which the current reigning Canadian sovereign's official birthday is recognized. It is sometimes informally considered as marking the beginning of the summer season in Canada. The holiday has been observed since before Canada was formed, originally falling on the sovereign's actual birthday, and continues to be celebrated in various

fashions across the country on the fixed date. In Quebec, the same day was, since the Quiet Revolution, unofficially known as Fte de Dollard until 2003, when provincial legislation officially named the same date as Victoria Day the National Patriots' Day. It is a statutory holiday federally, as well as in six of Canada's ten provinces and three of its territories.

Montreal is a city in Canada. It is the most populous province of Quebec and its most important economic center. Montral is also the second largest metropolitan city in the country after the one in Toronto. In French it is called the Metropole and its metropolitan area has about 4,000,000inhabitants. The old town is the Vieux-Montreal Montreal (Old Montreal).
