North Lincolnshire In Shape Strategy It is recognised that in order to halt and reverse the current obesity trend, multi

component healthy weight programmes encompassing a range of initiatives from increasing breastfeeding rates, improving diets and making it easier for people to build more physical activity into their lives will be required. Many of these actions represent current work but may prove more effective with a new approach to implementation. However, some of the actions represent existing gaps in service provision and require immediate investment. Theme 1 Children - Healthy Weight, Healthy Growth Aim - To ensure that children are given the healthiest possible start in life, through working with families and carers in promoting healthy lifestyles before, during and after birth Objective 1.
