Part A: Brief Profile of Silver Inning Foundation:

Silver Inning Foundation is a NGO / Not For Profit dedicated to the cause of elderly. This organisation is part of Silver Innings ,a social enterprise which was started by Sailesh Mishra ( Mumbai ) with support from Hendi Liangiah (France), Professor Parul Kibliwala (India, SNDT) and Swati Ingole (MSW, Mumbai, India) . Their goal is to create and implement services that would acknowledge the need for a supportive environment for the elderly. It believes that ageing is not lost of youth but a new stage of opportunity and strength. It believes in positive ageing and reintegrating the elderly into mainstream society and live with dignity. It was born to address the macro level and the micro level issues of the elderly and create an elder friendly world.

Part B: Detail of Project Proposal

Project Title: Day Care Centre for elderly of Indira Nagar, Bhayander
1. Project Goal: To make a senior citizen friendly Day Care center, where they can come and spend their time in a product way. The main objective behind it is to make elderly active not only physically but mentally also. 2. Target Group: This project will target senior citizen above 60 years. 3. Objective of the project a. To provide older adults an opportunity to get out of the house and receive both mental and social stimulation. b. To give caregivers a much-needed break in which to attend to personal needs, or simply rest and relax 4. Expected Outcome: a. Creating peer support system & special training program to learn helping techniques to avoid accidents & risk situation.

b. Promoting Healthy life style & increasing social functioning of elderly to learn & perform their role & responsibility as a citizen of countries. Regular health check-up with interactive session with doctors on drug. c. Aware them their constitution fundament rights & duties. This will also include awareness generation about available government services, schemes & program for their welfare & empowerment. d. A safe, secure environment in which to spend the day. e. Enjoyable and educational activities. f. Improvement in mental and physical health. g. Enhanced or maintained level of independence. h. Socialization and peer support.

Proposal for Silver Inning Foundation 5. Proposed Activities: For the rehabilitation of the vulnerable children the proposed activities under this project are:

a. Establishing Day Care Centre: Full Day care centre will be established for elderly for providing them safe environment. This will provide essential self care facility, entertainment & other facilities for senior citizen. b. Identification of elderly for the project: A base line survey will be conducted in Indira Nagar area for identifying the elderly under this project. c. Counselling & Case work session with each of the children: Regular counselling & case work session will be organised with each elderly for assessing their need, identifying his/her problem, counselling, guidance, support, suggestion. This will lead to problem solving to each elderly & will be helpful in planning & designing activities. d. Group Work Services: Special Group sessions for promotion of self care, self confidence, self learning, team building, trust building, bringing change in aspiration level of elderly, psychological & emotional support, building self image & formation of proper attitude for change, which are crucial. e. Regular health check-up: Regular health check-up will be done for the children to avoid the potential risk of disease or health risk. f. The day care center's goals will focus on enriching the participants' lives, building upon their skills, knowledge, and unique abilities and strengths. Below are some of the activities that may be available: 1..Arts and crafts. 2. Musical entertainment and sing-a-longs. 3. Mental stimulation games such as bingo. 4. Stretching or other gentle exercise. 5. Discussion groups (books, films, current events). 6. Holiday and birthday celebrations. 7. Local Outings 6. Project Implementation Time Line: The project will be implemented in three major, which are further divided into 7 phase. The detail of project implementation plan is below:

7. Staffing Pattern: A Social Worker cum counsellor will be appointed and will be responsible for overall management of the implementation & continuous evaluation of the project on a day to day basis. Social Worker will coordinate with related activities under project. Two care givers cum bridge course teachers will be appointed for providing care & support to children. 8. Sustainability of the Project: With the regular consultation with stakeholder, Silver Inning Foundation will identify potential support agencies for the support of these elderly in vulnerable situation. Silver Inning Foundation will explore the possibilities & other alternative for getting financial or any kind of support from corporate houses, business industries & other donor agencies. Implementation of this project will bring a great change in life of elderly, who are in vulnerable situations. C. Tentative Budget for the Project: 8 |Page

Budget for Day Centre Based Expenditure per Unit (50 numbers):
The centre will provide Day Care & other facility for inmate ultra poor. It will be a short stay home and will provide to work with each ultra poor to study their problem & need and further plan intervention to overcome their problem.
