Meaning of Gods and Goddesses in the World:

There can be as many spiritual paths as there are spiritual aspirants & similarly there can really be as many Gods as there are devotees to suit the moods, feelings, emotions & social background of the devotees. Different religions are introduced into the human civilization for the above reason. Initially humans worshipped Nature as GOD. Later on as his knowledge grows he introduced various religions and GODs into the civilization for easy evolution of people. Many of the Gods he introduced are enlightened beings living in other planes of the existence related to humans. People choose and worship these Gods as per their evolution status and their liking. These GODs once lived as Human beings on Earth. Meaning of Some of the Gods in various religions are mentioned below:

Arc Angels: The Vahan of Lord Vishnu is an angel ( Garuda) with wings belonging to a positive plane of existence. Arch Angel Michael defined in Christianity belongs to this category. Narada: This being belongs to the plane of Gandharvas the celestial musicians. etc, etc, etc ............... The Consciousness of Human beings does not evolve from Lower to Higher chakras in a linear method, but in a kind of loop involving higher & lower chakras. Because of the above reason people experience the consciousness at different energy centres at different times of their life. Depending on the stage of evolution people choose a GOD as their deity and worship. By worshiping Gods, people receive motivation, subtle energy and a thing to hold on, at times of difficulties in life. As people evolve they begin to like different Gods. Some people are stuck in evolution in a chakra. So, for their entire life they worship a particular God. The same similarity can be found in Greek Gods, Norse Gods, Celtic Gods, etc... & all over the world. References: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlxLC-lv3VQ
