A long-awaited party?
It seems as if this particular project has been a long time coming. I had plans to enter the cyberworld en force some time ago. But things being what they are, well, you know exactly how things are so theres no point telling you... Go on, tell us... Yeah, well, things being what they are, I spent a lot of time doing other peoples websites. My rst fascination was for social networking of sorts. From MySpace to Facebook to Twitter to SoundCloud to Facebook to LinkedIn. Im sure theres a lot I missed out there. e ability to share thoughts, pictures, media online is irresistible. If at times overwhelming. I spent days and nights, and nights and days, writing, recording and uploading music. It was a world in itself. So what about this website then? Fair play to you! Youre thinking that it may be a good idea to deal with the subject at hand. And I salute you for it. FPEC or Future Perfect English Consultancy has always been a mixed bag of assorted goodies. Initially set up in order to work as a corporate English teacher at Volvo in 2000, it has become so much more, incorporating lm and television, scriptwriting and research, copy and paste, recording and lecturing, teaching and live performance. Teaching & Research. e music incorporates the recording facilities including the soon-to-beready fully functional death church up in Vrmland. Its a venue, a recording facility, a life retreat, a writers haven, snowboarding lodge, birdwatchers paradise - hey, what is it not! FPEC equipment does the rounds in helping out schools and charities, local businesses and private persons. Weve even accepted payment now and then. Who hasnt been in desperate need a PA for little or no money before, eh? Of course, theres always playing music too. Alongside providing music for websites and corporate settings, theres a proud tradition of live performance. A random handful of stu is up in the Music Portfolio. Expect a rash of productions as the year plays out. Is there just music then? L o rd y, n o ! Wo rd s a re undoubtedly my main fare. Ask anyone. When not penning songs and poems, Im scripting television and lm. As well as a chance to throw out some samples of my work - scripts and copy, lyrics and articles - I hope to blog a tad. But not so youd notice. Nor am I the only avid wordsmith I know. Heres hoping I can build a forum for all tastes. new series called Faces & Places: Journeys in Europe. ere are summaries of its content in various sections and a chance to link to trailers and outtakes. ese projects have been thanks to the excellent leadership of producers like Ella Kallogritsa (Cinefa Film) and Tobias Elvhage (Fenix Film). Moreover, you can a l s o s a v o u r F P E C s burgeoning interest in lm in the Film Portfolio. Two short lms were produced in 2010 together with media savant Dominic Gullick (Stooge Production Services). Do you ever stop? Quite. Lets not forget lecturing and teaching, FPECs original brief. e teaching section is a chance to showcase both services and stu. I hope to oer both material and insight within this worldly portal: ar ticles about how to improve your learning skills and maximise your potential, tactics for beginners as well as seasoned wordivores, general material to guide you in your language quest, and sage titbits of wisdom from an eternal language bu. knowledge-areas in terms table- t to the layman.
