Carlson Hypothesis identification Article Analysis The hypothesis is an educated theory that is developed from the evidence that is being studied. The researcher uses a hypothesis to aid in the investigation and testing of theories. The researcher used the scientific method to methodically test the hypothesis to see if it is true or false. This paper will identify the hypothesis and address key points found within the article. In the article entitled, Learning atmosphere and ethical behavior, does it make sense? The article attempts to understand employee behavior and what reasons for scandals in the work place are. The hypothesis discussed in the article theorizes that there is a positive relationship between the employees perceptions of their employer and their commitment to the organization. The employee perceives the organizations commitment and relates that commitment to their ethical behavior. The stronger the employees committed to the organization the less likely that the employee will engage in unethical behavior. Samples of 641 employees were randomly selected from 166 Spanish consulting firms. The study was designed to understand the relationship between employee commitment and organization learning capabilities of employees. The reason for this study was due to the lack of research in the relationship between organizational learning capabilities of employees and how they relate to ethical behavior within the organization.

Organizational learning capabilities are identified by purposes strategic planning. organization is built up of many learning styles and it is important for management to develop programs that educate employees using different learning styles. The organizational commitment to its employees is very important and organizations have a responsibility to educate there employees. The leadership of the organization contributes to the ethical behavior of employees. The hypothesis was accepted and was found to be true due to the positive direct relationship between employability and organizational learning capabilities. The employees commitment to the organization had a positive impact on ethical behavior within the organization. The study identified that if the organization has a commitment to conducting business ethically the employees will conduct themselves ethically. The results impact the study in that it outlines the importance of organizational learning capabilities of employees in the workplace. The employee perception is affected by the organizations ethical behavior and relates that behavior to the employees own life within the organization. This paper identified the hypothesis and address key points found within the article. It is important to conduct business ethically in order for employees to follow their example.
