INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background

Global warming is a serious problem that is sweeping our planet. As time

goes by more and more global warming worse. It is characterized by an increase
in temperatures and erratic weather.
Warming caused by human actions irresponsible. Many of his excessive
use of energy and illegal logging are a few examples of such actions. Finally,
global warming can not be arrested again and many people who do not know
how

Therefore, the authors share advice as well as making it a theme in the

manufacture of this paper.

Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to find out what we can do to reduce the
effects of global warming.

DISCUSSION
3.1 DISCUSSION

Global warming (English: global warming is a process of increasing the

average temperature of the atmosphere, oceans, and Earth's land.
Global average temperature at Earth's surface has risen 0.74 C 0:18 (1:33
0:32 F) during the last hundred years. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate
Change (IPCC) concluded that, "most of the increase in global average
temperatures since the mid-20th century is most likely caused by increased
concentrations of greenhouse gases due to human activities" [1] via the
greenhouse effect. These basic conclusions have been advanced by at least 30
scientific and academic bodies, including the national science academies of all
G8 countries. However, there are still some scientists who disagree with some
of the IPCC conclusions are presented.
Climate models referenced by the IPCC project suggests global surface
temperatures will rise 1.1 to 6.4 C (2.0 to 11.5 F) between 1990 and 2100.

greenhouse gas emissionsgreenhouse gases in the future, as well as models of
different climate sensitivities.While most research focuses on the period up to
2100, warming and sea level rise is expected to continue for more than a
thousand years even if greenhouse gas emission levels have stabilized. [1]
This reflects the magnitude of the heat capacity of the oceans.
Increasing global temperature is expected to lead to other changes such
as rising sea levels, increased intensity of extreme weather phenomena, [2] as
well as changes in the amount and pattern of precipitation. Consequences of
global warming is terpengaruhnya other crops, the loss of glaciers, and the
extinction of various animal species.
Some of the things the scientists are still doubtful about the amount of
warming expected to occur in the future, and how warming and the changes
that occur will vary from one region to another. It is still political and public
debate in the world about what, if any, action should be taken to reduce or

reverse further warming or to adapt to the consequences that exist. Most of

the governments of countries in the world have signed and ratified the Kyoto
Protocol, which leads to the reduction of emissions of greenhouse gases.
While for this, There are some easy ways that we can do, namely;
1. Turn off the electricity. (When not in use, do not leave electronic
equipment on standby. Unplug phone chargers. Handful of outlets.
Although electricity is not carbon emissions, electricity generation using
fossil fuel emissions a major contributor).
2. Replace light bulb (CFL all types, according to electric power. Although
the price is rather expensive, is more power-efficient light and durable).
3. Clean light (dust can reduce light levels up to 5%).
4. If forced to use the AC (close doors and windows for air conditioning is on.
Set the temperature is sufficiently cool, around 21-24o C).
5. Use a timer (for AC, microwave, oven, magic jar, etc.).
6. Switch the engine waste heat air conditioner to operate water-heater.
7. Planting trees in your neighborhood.
8. Drying clothes outside. Wind and solar heat is better than using the
machine (dryer) a lot of carbon emissions.
9. Use public transportation (to reduce air pollution).
10. Efficient use of paper (raw materials derived from wood).
11. Say no to plastic. Almost all plastic waste produces harmful gases when
burned. Or you can also help collect them for recycling back.
12. Spread the word to the people around you, so that they are participating in
saving the planet.

CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

4.1

Conclusions
From the data obtained can be concluded that global warming must be
stopped, so the damage is getting worse.

4.2

Recommendations
Hence the above conclusion, the authors provide suggestions will
hopefully be the input for improvements in the future.
1. We are more aware of how important protecting the environment.
2. More careful in the act so that global warming can be reduced.
