THE PRENATAL EPOCH - A CASE STUDY IN MEDICAL ASTROLOGY

A student once approached me to find out the reasons for eye problems suffered by the native of the above chart. After trying to diagnose through various systems, we did not arrive at any satisfactory conclusion. As there were so many inter-related questions about the native's future, it was necessary that a correct answer be arrived at. Finding it difficulty I approached Prof. D.V. Thakur, and expert in the Prenatal Epoch theory and discussed the issue with him. He was very kind enough to advise me to see the issue through the pre-natal chart. The above pre-natal chart was worked out by him. What does the above pre-natal chart indicate? 1. According to Dr. H. Cornell, in his Encyclopedia of Medical Astrology, the eyes are ruled by the Sun, the Moon, Neptune, Uranus and the sign Aquarius (ether). 2. Eyes have affinity with the Sun, the Moon, Uranus, the signs Aries and Aquarius and with the fixed stars Pleides, Antares and the Ascellis. 3. The concerned with the structural defects, Moon rules the lachrymal (also lacrimal adj. Of or relating to tears. Of, relating to, constituting the glands that produce tears.) 4. The Sun and Moon afflicted by Uranus (Herschel) by birth tends to eye problems and blindness, especially if they be near nebulous stars as Pleidas, Antares or the Ascelli. 5. In the above pre-natal chart, almost all the above conditions are fulfilled. The luminaries are heavily afflicted. 6. Further, the Mercury conjunct Saturn, Uranus and the Sun (through a translation of light afflicts the Moon. This combination if afflicted by mars conjunct Jupiter in the 7th House. Hence a T square is formed, with the free leg in the Ascendant, making the native vulnerable during afflictions by progressions and transits. 7. Fixed stars do aspect by opposition too. We have Bellatrix on 20 Gemini, Alnilam at 22 Gemini aspecting Uranus by opposition (taking 1 degree orb).

8. Aculeus is on 24 Sagittarius conjunct the Sun. 9. Acumen, on 28 Sagittarus aspects the Moon in Gemini by opposition. 10. Mercury is on Antares. All the above fixed stars do afflict the luminaries and Uranus. We are given to understand that 6 degrees of Leo and Aquarius are also eye afflicting degrees, which are just conjunct the 6th and 12th cusps. The above case study does indicate that the pre-natal chart is of great assistance in astrology in general and medical astrology in particular.
