On Thursday 8th March 6M visited the British Museum We focused on developing our listening, ICT and literacy skills. We had the opportunity to research, script and record a short audio podcast to share our research on the ancient world. Our class really enjoyed making a podcast, and outing it all together to make our own report. We were all given different jobs for example script writer so that we could all participate. It was really interesting when we researched about the different countries and shared it all together at the end. The journey on the train went smoothly because the train wasnt packed, and we had lots of help from parents and teachers. We all enjoyed a walk of fresh air whilst walking to and from the British Museum and the train stations, reported Tallulah and Danielle in 6M. 6S have their turn on Friday 16th March. Many thanks to Miss Cross for arranging the event for Year 6 and to Miss Mason and Mrs Stewart for organising the day.

I can do some painting. I can do writing about the Beanstalk. My favourite lesson is PE because I like doing it. Ravi in RB Im good at adding and take away, you put 22 in your head and add on 3 and it is 25. Ive learnt a lot. I like playing with the fire engine, its my favourite thing. Rohaan in RJ Ive learnt to do science, like going outside and we was looking for worms and spiders. We found a caterpillar as well. I did some lovely writing back in class. Louise in 1W In Science week I learnt how to separate the colours in a Smartie. First I needed a partner then you need a Smartie and then you add water on the bloating paper and then we will see what if it has happened tomorrow and what colours it makes. Shenali in 1B Ive learnt to throw the dice in maths and then add two numbers. I write a lot in my Literacy, this is my favourite lesson because I learn lots of things like spelling and reading. Cemal in 2B Weve learnt about everyone being kind in class and we dont wander during lessons. My favourite lesson is Art. We done a picture of the Great fire of London. We made a painting of the Fire and drew London and cut out the windows and stuck it on. Josie in 2PW My favourite thing was about the clouds, that they are made from water and dust. This was in our climate topic. Lilly in 3WH I learnt a lot about the Victorians. We made a picture of Queen Victoria and we made a Victorian house in school as part of our homework. It was fun to learn about history, thats my favourite subject. I learnt her husband was from Germany. Billy in 3W I like learning about Rosa Parks and Nelson Mandela because I thought it was interesting. I like history. Apartheid ended when Rosa went to prison and people stopped going on the buses. Katherine in 4H. I like music and the best thing is I learnt to speak different languages, I like saying different things like hello, welcome and how old I am. Ive learnt loads in French, African and Mandarin. Im Greek and I can speak Greek. Ive told Miss Carter how to say hello in Greek. Louie in 4C Ive learnt about Italy and pirates and the Normans. The most interesting thing was that Italy is shaped like a boot and there are volcanoes in Italy it is called Mount Etna. Victoria in 5C My favourite thing is percentages of numbers in Maths. I didnt know how to do it, now I do and now its easy. I enjoy Art and making sculptures. Mine was an owl to go in St Marks Square. In Italy. We used the computer to get a picture, cropped it and added it in. Anousha in 5B The best thing was the Native Americans. We learnt how they lived, food they ate and how they travelled by horse and wagon. When they travelled at least five per wagon died on the journey because of the bumpy paths and the wagons were so old. Ria in 6S Its so hard to choose, but probably it would be about the Native Americans. It was good to learn about their lifestyle and how they lived. Everything they used came from the buffaloes. Karamvir in 6M. Staff Car Park We are very concerned that parents and children are still arriving very early in the morning and waiting in the car park. Staff will be entering the car park until 8.45 (and again after 9.00am) when Mr Kempster closes the drive. It is important that parents supervise all thier children and that they remain in areas where they can be seen and away from the cars and parking spaces.
