MDO Partners Launches Real Estate and Immigration Practices


MIAMI, FL, March 14, 2012 - MDO Partners, a boutique law firm that specializes in corporate law, global compliance and business ethics, is pleased to announce that it has launched Real Estate and Immigration Practices. Attorney Daniel Rios has joined the firm as Real Estate Counsel and Albert J. Perez joins the firm as Immigration Counsel. With more than 10 years of residential and commercial real estate experience in South Florida, Daniel Rios joins MDO Partners to lead its real estate practice. Mr. Rios has extensive experience in all matters pertaining to negotiating both residential and commercial real estate purchase contracts and leases as well as conducting real estate closings. He also counsels clients in connection with development projects and condominium association matters. Mr. Rios has had his own law practice for many years and represented both buyers, sellers, developers, lessees and lessors in significant real estate transactions. He received his law degree with honors from St. Thomas University and his bachelor's degree with honors in Business Administration from Florida International University. "We are pleased that Dan has joined our firm and will be able to provide significant expertise in the area of real estate, which many clients have been demanding since we launched MDO Partners," said Richard Montes de Oca, Managing Partner of MDO Partners. "With his expertise and MDO Partners' unique platform, we're well positioned to expand this important area of practice successfully." Albert J. Perez joins the firm as Immigration Counsel. He has seven years of significant experience in all matters pertaining to immigration, including deportation defense, asylums, family petitions, marriage and finance visas, work visas, investor visas and citizenship. Mr. Perez has had his own law firm for many years and has been recognized as a Florida Rising Star for two years in a row by Super Lawyers magazine. Prior to establishing his own firm, Mr. Perez was Head Counsel of CASA, a non-profit agency focused on immigrant advocacy and representation. As Head Counsel, he was responsible for the agency's Legal Department and represented hundreds of clients before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, Miami Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals. Prior to joining CASA, Mr. Perez was an attorney with the law firm of Demahy Labrador Drake Payne & Cabeza. Mr. Perez earned his law degree from Nova Southeastern University where he was an active member of the law review. He received his bachelor's degree from St. Thomas University. "While representing our foreign clients in corporate matters, we quickly realized that many of them also needed immigration assistance, so we're excited about the prospects of having an attorney of Albert's caliber join the MDO Partners team to service these clients," said Mr. Montes de Oca.
