Dye Penetrant Systems

Penetrant inspection is a very sensitive procedure to detect cracks and other defects open to the surface. If correctly

applied cracks with a width of 1 m can be detected. Due to its independence of the work piece material penetrant inspection can be widely applied. Technical progress and a tendency to light-weight construction have also led to an increased use of dye penetrant inspection techniques. Euroteck offers a complete range of dye penetrant systems from small desk top lines to fully automated systems for large, high volume parts inspection. Euroteck Systems is the sole supplier in the UK and Eire for Tiede GmbH MPI, penetrant equipment and consumables. The company can provide fully automatic MPI and Penetrant systems using Tiedes patented OPTO-TEC image recognition and QAP control and quality monitoring systems.

Ultrasonic Systems

Euroteck is a UK agent for the complete range of Cygnus ultrasonic gauges and coating thickness meters, flaw detectors and on-line installations, as well as phased array and PC cards. We are an "approved systems integrator" for UTEX motion control and data aquisition systems using the very powerful "Inspection Ware" software suite. Euroteck can provide upgrades to any existing scanning system to include the latest in-motion control and data acquisition features, including A, B & C scans, data storage and processing. If

you require a standard immersion scanning tank or a custom built system, Euroteck can provide these too.

X-ray Systems
Real Time Systems

Euroteck is the UK Distributor for Bosello of Italy; a World leader in the design and manufacture of Real Time X Ray systems. Bosello recently released to market two general purpose Real Time X Ray machines, the SRE HEX, a small foot print machine capable of inspecting parts with dimensions of 400mm x 600mm and weighing up to 25KG; and a larger machine, the SRE MAX capable of inspecting parts with dimensions of 800mm x 1500mm and weighing up to 80Kg. Both machines have 6 axis of movement and come with CNC motion control and the new IPEXTREME image capture and analysis software. Bosello also offer systems with full Automatic Defect Recognition (ADR) using there FARIS software. Conventional Image Intensifier detectors as well as flat panel systems from Varian and Perkin Elmer are integrated into the standard acquisition software. (If you have a real time X Ray application but are not able to commit to purchasing a system; contact our office as we have a separate inspection division which undertakes real time inspection for clients).

What is Computed Radiography (CR) and how does it work?

Computed Radiography (CR) provides the digital equivalent of the conventional X-ray film while simultaneously providing the enormous advantages that consumables are virtually eliminated and the time to image is reduced considerably. In addition the digital images can easily be archived and shared freely with other users. We emphasize the easy work flow and the ability to optimize the images by means of image software, thereby assuring improved analyses. The CR technology consists of a 3-step process. The Image (storage) Plate (IP) is exposed with X-ray or Gamma radiation, which causes the IP phosphor layer in the plate to store the X-ray image. During the reading process of the plate in the scanner, a focused laser beam triggers the release of the stored X-ray image data in the form of visible light. The emitted light is captured and detected, then converted into electrical signals which are digitized and finally displayed as digital images on the monitor of the associated computer. The internal in-line eraser purges the residual data from the lP, which is then ready for the next exposure.

What is important in deciding to use CR?

Basically the CR technology is understood to be the digital replacement for film. In conventional X-ray different resolutions are due to the film type. In CR the design of imaging plate, the resolution of the scanner and the high quality software are combined to achieve incredible performance. It is the careful combination of all three componants that makes a state of the art system.

High definition Computed Radiography

DURR NDT is the first worldwide company that has developed a 12,5micron laser spot scanner that, with correspondingly high resolution phosphor storage imaging plates, has met all of the stringent requirements of EN 14784 and ASTM 2446. Both the HD CR35 NDT and the HD CR43 NDT exceed the requirements of Rolls Royce RPS720 for both castings and welds. The combination of high resolution image plates and the HD-CR devices achieves the unique Basic Spatial Resolution of 40m and a pixel size of just 20m over all system classes for the first time. This performance has been independantly certified by BAM in Germany. The HD-CR 35 NDT is a product perfectly suited for weld seam inspection. Furthermore, the HD-CR 35 NDT with its step less adjustable laser reading resolution, is the perfect companion for those applications requiring lesser resolution capability and a shorter aquisition and imaging time. Using our white imaging plates a reduction in exposure time of as much as 80% can be achieved. The HD-CR 35NDT can be battery operated. We can supply a complete battery operated solution including X Ray source from 120kv to 320kv, CR scanner and computer for unparallelled on site performance. The HD CR43 NDT is perfectly suited to Cassette based inspection procedures. Because the user has no access to the imaging plate itself, we are able to guarrantee the imaging plate for 25,000 cycles.

Just released the fantastic CR7 NDT

A true desktop scanner ( A4 footprint), for those small quality inspection tasks was introduced at the recent 10TH European Conference on NDT Moscow 2010 The Durr CR 7 NDT has been designed to meet the needs of critical inspections where the use of small imaging plates is mandated. Imaging plates from 2 x 3cm up to 6 x 10 cm can be used with this scanner. The compact size of the scanner makes this an ideal choice for both on site and in house inspections. The adjustable laser focal spot (12.5- 50) means that the system can be used for a wide range of applications. The system works with a High Spec PC and the Durr D-Tect software platform designed specifically for NDT Radiographic application Small imaging plates are scanned quickly even at high resolution, making the system very productive for volume applications. No templates or fixtures are required; the image is automatically cropped to the size of imaging plate being used. The CR7 NDT combines speed , excellent image quality as good as film and the ability to scan small imaging plates without any trade off.

Magnetic Particle Systems

Magnetic Particle Inspection is still the most reliable and most sensitive surface crack inspection method for ferromagnetic materials. So if you have a need to perform a critical inspection over the surface of any of your production parts, we feel confident that one of our product combinations can do the job for you.
