LET US WORK TOGETHER FOR INDEPENDENT CHILDREN AND DYNAMIC TEENAGES(HAND TO HAND) Computer is a communication device that contributes

to human life as both making possible to reach the information fast and make people communicate with each other fast. Nowadays people face with the computer at very early ages in the society. Internet has negative effects on children in addition to its positive effects. Those are as follows: Children spending much time with the computer at developing ages are more prone to damaging at skeletal and muscle system, depending upon the sitting position, and damaging at their eyes due to the continuous eye contact with the computer screen. Children spending their spare time with computer instead of being in communication with their family or friends encounter with some problems such as Communication problems,....., being apart from the society and so on. Language development is affected negatively. Brain development is affected negatively due to the electromagnetic radiation. By using internet, children can reach some websites which have pornographic and sexual content and they are exposed to sexual and dating proposals from the adults. Due to the widespread usage of social media such as facebook and twitter by children and usage age of these websites go down below 10 years age have resulted in an increase in the rate of sexual and emotional abuse crimes. Since children have not enough personal development, they can be abused by ill-intentioned people easily and hence they can be involved in crimes by those people. Children might be encouraged to use alcohol, cigarette and illegal drugs over the Internet. Since people having illegal purposes such as drug trading and terrorism might use the Internet to make their propagandas. Internet makes children to get used to reach the unprocessed and raw information and affects negatively other education media such as books, libraries, teachers, investigation, observation, experiments... Children can damage to their licensed software and their computers via the viruses by documents downloaded from the Internet or by clicking on the links coming from unknown users. Children can give their personal information to other people that might be harmful for them and their families such as personal address, credit card number, telephone number, ID number and so on.

RESULT: We are in effort as Boyabat Halk Eitimi Merkezi to lessen the negative effects of the Internet. All of the subjects discussed above must be reviewed again in the educational institutions to use the Internet as a beneficial communication device. For this purpose, we try to give conference on the subject of Intel Student Programs to our 1st Stage Students. We aim to raise consciousness of many families on the subject of Children and Informatics with Domestic Education in the ages of 0-18 and Father Support Education in cooperation with Anne ocuk Eitim Vakf (AEV).

We give educations to mothers on Computer and Informatics Systems. As Boyabat Halk Eitimi Merkezi, we have increased the number of sport courses given to the 1st Stage Students compared to the previous years in cooperation with Boyabat Genlik Spor Mdrl.With the slogan of Send your children to sport courses for social, dynamic, happy and self-confident generation instead of schizoid and stationary generation we have conducted new courses for primary school students such as Karate, Kick Bocks, Table Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball, Football, Bocce, Basketball, Athletics ,Folk Dance Also, children attend courses like baglama, guitar and wood burning course in our institution. We opened computer using courses for children between 6-11 with an aim of learning with internet games. Our main principle was Child-Internet and Game. We benefited from both flash cards and entertaining games on the internet during the English course for students in 1st ,2nd and 3rd classes. We organized seminars and courses together with the experts from family and consumer sciences about Habitualities and Education Problems for primary and secondary school students. We had a meeting on what we can do about the child criminals, especially the ones who engage in informatics crimes, in our County Police Department. We exchanged views about the sanctions on internet cafes and some topics which need to be rearranged. We think that, families should constrain their children in using the internet. Children under the school age should use the internet maximum half an hour per day whereas children in the primary school should not be allowed more than one hour per day. Also we think that we should support the use of the Computer Usage Controlling Program (KOP) which was developed by BATEM.

In short, we should not left our children alone with the computer for an indefinite time. We shall grow up social, dynamic, cheerful and confident people instead of introvert children
