Message from the President Hispanic UMADAOP continues to deliver quality culturally competent services in fiscal year 2009 2010, and for the past twenty years. Our success results from the commitment and dedication of Board members and staff to the mission of the agency, the continued funding support from foundations, banks, county, city agencies, and the Hispanic community. Alcoholism and drug abuse impact negatively the welfare of our community and our efforts will continue to help those affected by these addictions and create opportunities for a better life. We have made tremendous progress but we know there is more that needs to be done. With your support, we will strengthen our role as a nonprofit agency and better served our clients. Thank you! Luis A. Gmez

Excerpt From Project HOPE Final Report (Institute for the Study and Prevention of Violence, Kent State University, July 2010, page 25) Overall, Project HOPE met or exceeded its overarching goal of providing comprehensive services that would help young Hispanic substance abusing ex-offenders successfully reintegrate into neighborhoods and families. The above outcome findings support the potential efficacy of developing programs for this specific population that build upon the foundation and successes of Project HOPE.
