4. INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION & OTHER REQUIREMENTS : The ship to be built in accordance with the rules of REGISTRO ITALIANO NAVALE and to be distinguished in the Register by the Symbols: And to comply with following rules and regulations. a) International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974 and Protocol 1978, and amendment of 1981, 1983, 1988~1992, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999 and 2000. b) International Convention on Load on load line 1996 and Protocol 1988 adopted on June 2003. c) International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, 1973 and Protocol 1978 (Annex I, V and VI Regulation 13 & 16) and amendments of 1984, 1985,1987, 1989~1992, 1994, 1995, 1997 and 2000. d) International Tele-Communication Convention, 1982 and Amendments of 1997. e) International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, 1972 and Amendments of 1981,1987, 1989 and 1993. f) International Convention on Tonnage Measurement of Ships, 1969. g) Rules and Regulations for Foreign Vessels Operating in the Navigable water of the United States (without certificate nor inspection) (CFR Title 33 Part 155, 156,159, 164 and Title 35 Part 103, 42). h) Harbour Rules concerning Cargo Gear (India, Pakistan, Canadian, Australian and New Zealand. i) ILO Convention NO.92 (Concerning Crew Accommodation on Board Ship). j) Here in after, the above mentioned Classification, rules and regulation to be collectively called as the Rules. k) The requirements of the above Rules to include any additional Rules which are compulsory on the date of the signing the Contract, however any recommendations of the Rules which are left at the owners choice not to be included except those items specified in the Speccifications and Plan. One(1) original and two(2) copies of following certificates and documentations to be obtained by the Builder and furnished to the Owner at the time of delivery of the ship. When provisional documents are furnished the of delivery, the Owner and the Builder shall negotiate how to furnish the formal documents. 5. Other certificates to be provided in accordance with the Builders standard for this kind of ship. Request of the Certificate of Ships Nationality and Station License to be carried out by the Owner in accordance with the document of the Builder. 6. TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTIC: 6.1 POWER SUPPLY - EMCY AC220V, 1Ph, 60Hz - DC24V 6.2 GENERAL 1) One(1) set of combined type gyro compass/adaptive autopilot to be installed at steering stand. 2) Auto pilot system with electric control type of follow-up & non follow-up to be fitted in W/H steering stand. 3) Steering stand to be equipped with visual and audible alarm for excessive deviation from normal set course of ship. (incl. No voltage alarm) 4) Off-course alarm to be provided on W/H steering stand. 5) Gyro repeater circuits for the VDR, AIS, RADARs, INMARSAT-F and automatic control of the steering gear shall be provided. 6) The rudder order and response signal shall be interfaced with VDR. 7) Azimuth sensor unit with adapter and cables for off course alarm (magnetic compass TMC functions) to be clarified. 8) Illumination with dimmer control shall be provided for each gyro repeater on both bridge wings. 9) Government type approval certificate to be submitted. 10) Installation materials including special cable shall be supplied by maker according to yards recommendations and yard will inform required quantity or length on approval drawing. 11) All equipment weight and dimension to be described on approval drawing.
