Central Hospital Database system Statement Of work (SOW) Ali Ghalehban Assumption University of Thailand

Scope of Work
This sow is about project that before we do this project in one of big Hospitals in my country and this is a sample of real project that already is working in hospital system.

Work
We have a central hospital in our city that this hospital have many branches in nearby towns and villages Hospital authorities ask our group for designing a system for them that all of branches in other cities and town be connected together via a online system they need a system that when in every branch accept a patient and register its information this information be registered in central hospital database and when another time patient refer to hospital again branch hospitals again can access central hospital database and search for patient information in fact they ask us for make a central database for hospital .

Purpose
When we have a central database same as I explain above when a patient go in hospital and staffs one time register him information in central database in next refers they will not to register again in system and also all of previous information about previous Disease and problems will store in system and this record in future can be more helpful for Doctors to recognize patients problems in other hand for example if patient wants to have a short trip to near cities in every city that this hospital have branch if he refer one of this branch hospitals because of this branches connections to central database all of this patient information will available for other branches and in This case this system will prevent from data redundancy problem because when you register patient in any branch its data will store in central database and other branches also will access patients data .

Special Requirements
After we analyze this system implementing requirments we make a 2 team 1 programming team and 2 Network communication team Programming team duty was programming a special software based on system requirements that will get patients data and store in central database this program was written in Vb.net also this software was able to give detailed and customized reports and also this system was more than only central database system because its give more flexibility to hospital acts such as : 1234Online appointment Making for patient from all branches. Display all available medication for other branches Online communications of all staffs form all of branches Make a informatics system between branches and central hospital that all requests of branches can be sent from this system instead of Previous traditional system. 5- Online patient checking when a doctor was not available in any branch this system make a facility that doctor visit patient in far place and prescribe medicine for him online and in target pharmacy patient was able to get him medicine . and many other facilities .

And also about network communication team that their duty was making a secure and fast connections between all branches and central database for this reason our team signup up for a leased line from Telecommunications Department of city and after purchasing of required Cisco Routers and facilities make connection between all branches . that all of branches was able to send their request to central database that was established on A SQL server DB and get reply from it .

Advantages: design and implementation of any iteration is to be simple, straightforward, and modular, supporting redesign at that stage or as a task added to the project control list Disadvantages The user community needs to be actively involved throughout the project. While this involvement is a positive for the project, it is demanding on the time of the staff and can add project delay. Communication and coordination skills take center stage in project development. Informal requests for improvement after each phase may lead to confusion -- a controlled mechanism for handling substantive requests needs to be developed. The Iterative Model can lead to scope creep, since user feedback following each phase may lead to increased customer demands. As users see the system develop, they may realize the potential of other system capabilities which would enhance their work.
