3. Overview and Aims This module aims at giving you an opportunity to work on a live project with the industry. The work you carry out during this module is expected to make a significant contribution both to your development and to the issue being studied in the organisation.

6. Learning Outcomes Knowledge and understanding. After studying this module you should be able to: 1. research, analyse, reformat and evaluate systems internal and external to an Apparel based organisation 2. demonstrate a commercial understanding of the product and the market using latest technologies for innovation and efficiency Skills, qualities and attributes. Teaching and Learning The following teaching & learning strategies are used within this module: There will be an introductory workshop which will focus on what to expect from the industry project. Representatives of the industry will be available for discussion of the same. Students may identify projects on their own and this has to be discussed with the module leader. An industry mentor and a faculty mentor will be appointed to each student and they may be met for guidance and to provide direction and counseling. Students will identify reading which is relevant to their workplace situation. Throughout the module students will be expected to refer to material both from the interning organization, from the internet and any available library to reconfirm any experiences that they may have at the organization. 8. This will be accompanied by a presentation of the same to a jury consisting of industry members and faculty.
