Students are being introduced to the cardinal directions: north, south, east, and west. As we build our map skills, it is important that students can recognize the shape of Virginia and the U.S. Students will be studying a variety of maps and learning to use cardinal directions to locate things. If you are planning a trip, let your child look at the map with you. Make sure to point out the legend and the symbols on the legend.
