When one pursues the dreams relentlessly, the dreams do become inevitable and accessible. I have also taken inspiration from these brave words and feel one can achieve anything if one pursues it with diligence and perseverance and I have set my heart on attaining to do my M.S Degree from one of the most reputed universities of the world. Furthermore, I have come to the conclusion that studying at your esteemed university will definitely be the catalyst in putting me on the road to success. Studying in the U.S.A will give me enough exposure to be able to interact with people from different walks of life and nationalities. This will equip me well in the art of assessing and cultivating human relationships, which is a necessity in any type of work place. AREA OF INTEREST Finance, as a field, had always fascinated me right from my undergraduate college days. I have always enjoyed and been strong in areas that require problem solving, analytical and mathematical skills, and I am anxious to combine the knowledge of, and aptitude for, these skills with my interest in finance. I really want to explore finance while intend to gain specialized knowledge in the field of corporate or managerial finance. PREPARATION FOR POSTGRADUATE STUDY I have been planning a career in finance for several years, but as an engineering undergraduate I primarily concentrated on getting a solid background in mathematics .The four years of engineering program also equipped me with the problem solving and analytical skills required to excel in the demanding profession of finance. My mathematical skills come from courses such as Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Probability and Statistics. Educational Background: I would like to introduce myself as an active, diligent, optimistic and self-made person. As a kid I was fascinated with the buildings and wanted to make them. With each passing years, I realized that my career would be around the field that dealt with development of buildings. My interest for creating new dimensions and spreading my knowledge of creativity led me to select Architecture as my field of higher studies. As a student of Architecture, I was introduced to the world of Graphic designing, Conceptual Design,

I realized that construction field-tests my brains with different level of questions each day. Each passing day brought in more opportunities to learn, explore, and stretch my capacity to work & on top of that it

involves a lot of fieldwork, unlike other fields where monotony governs in working environment & tasks both. Though I found myself to be suitable to work in construction field but it was required to give a direction to my interest. It involves a wide variety of challenges and an accelerating factor that something new, unique & functional will come up in end.

You cant do things differently until you see things differently My education as an architect is helping me to deal only with the designing aspect of the process of construction of a building and when it comes to management I realized my education is inadequate. And here I felt the need to become a construction manager. I realized that a construction manager had to be a master of all kind of person & parallel to it should possess core knowledge of project management. In my opinion this course will broaden my perspective of multi-functional aspects of construction business, contract management and related subjects, and equip myself with the knowledge and skills to exercise higher managerial responsibilities successfully. Moreover, the need of managerial positions in construction industry is at a steep rise, which reinforces my decision to pursue a research-oriented career in construction management. During the last four decades, the construction industry in India has undergone large-scale mechanization with rapid changes and advancements in construction practices as well as in the management of construction works. After considering my aptitude and the type of work that I enjoy most, I am convinced that I want to take up a career in Construction Management, with my prime objective being to create an organization that works as an integrated team. Thus I intend to become a dynamic and a professional construction manager. I hope to enhance my own skills by learning through an exchange of ideas across the globe.

I believe that I possess the motivation, intellectual ability and preparation to do justice to a demanding graduate program. I also believe that under expert guidance and opportunities to take part in research work would help me in achieving my goal. I, therefore, look forward to joining your department as a graduate student. It is after a good deal of self-assessment that I have decided to pursue post graduate studies in Construction Management. This decision followed naturally after considering my academic background, the areas of my interest, and my eventual professional ambition, which is to pursue a career in green construction, thus aiming to promote a sustainable environment. Apart from regular studies, arts, sports and games has always been my passion. I have participated in some regional level competitions and was also active in debates, seminars and group discussions, which helped me to prove myself. (:P:P) My father,a doctor has always encouraged me in dreaming big and achieving it. My mother, a housewife and a very loving and affectionate person has also been very supportive of my decision and I bond very well with her. I have a married elder brother who is working with xxxxxx We all share a very close and loving relationship. They have both been a source of inspiration to me to build up my career on a sound footing. To take my quest for becoming a successful Business Manager further, formal post graduate study in Business Administration has become a must. This study will provide me with the necessary theoretical and practical skills so essential for being a successful manager. I want to do my MBA from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies , because having interacted with the students of SIMS, I feel that the excellent faculty with emphasis on financial management, developing analytical skills and practical exposure will help me in becoming the well rounded Business Manager that I wish to become. I think one of my most distinguishing characteristics is the diversity of experiences I possess. I am a technical student with a flair for the arts. I am a man with technical aptitude and an interest in management. I also have a passion for traveling and understanding different cultures of the world. All these elements have given me a very broad outlook, with varying degrees of knowledge in a range of topics. I strongly believe that although some are not related directly, all these qualities will influence my graduate work. You live only once, but if you live right, once is enough. I have attended an internship program at janapriya, wherein I understood that to excel in the construction industry, theoretical knowledge is not at all suffice. i realized that management plays a vital role.
