Hitchhiking Guide 23 Oct 4 Nov Spain Salamanca to BC:

Near Plaza de Espaa go to the address Gran Via 41, which is under the stone arch walkway just past the post office (Correos). Right in front of that address are a bunch of blue and white signs, one of which says Polgono Los Villares de la Reina, lnea 25. This is your bus. It's one of the red buses. Make sure you do not take the bus to Polgono Santa Marta. If you continue to where the arches stop there is an electronic sign that says when the buses arrive. This bus will take you through the industrial area with lots of warehouses. When you see the big metal sculpture in the middle of a big roundabout, get off the bus. The sculpture is a metal loop with a curved rod running through it. This is the beginning of the motorway A62 towards Valladolid, and there is a big shoulder where cars can pull over easily. Buena suerte compaeros y compaeras!

San Seb to Toulouse: 1) Try the petrol station closest to the city centre at Av de Navarra/Calle de Zemoriya. Hitchhikers have found French cars here. 2) Take the local train to Irun and walk to the motorway. At the border there is a toll-gate, where you can ask for lifts Toulouse to Montpellier

The Page towards the South-East First, take metro line B in the direction Ramonville to the very last stop. Then you can get to the page : on foot, is about 30 minutes walking (3km). Turn left at the traffic circle just out the metro station. Follow the autoroute/Montpellier signs until the entrance of the motorway (you should find cardboard there) the page is only 2km further. by bus, get directly in the 79 (PDF with the route and the timetables of the bus 79) Get off at the bus stop Commerce. At the roundabout in front of you, turn right and cross a fast road (not the motorway though), take left, then get on a bridge above a canal. There is a gate at the end of the bridge you might have to

climb but so far, it was open. Otherwise below the gate, on the sides, a part can be removed and you (even if you're fat!) can crawl under. You can see the small bridge on the map. Phlyming found the gate too high to climb over for normal people and it was easier to directly walk along the edge lane onto the interchange bridge in the north, follow the direction to A61 and get to page.

MP to Marseille

If you like safe and easy hitchhiking, it's advised to take Tram number 1 to Odysseum, get off at Place de France, which is one stop before the last stop, then walk a bit back to Av de Mondial 98 until the roundabout Evariste Galois (5min walking)(There is nice map in the tram station, where you can check). On the left you see the hill. Go up (better to have good shoes on!) and you find at the top this brilliant hitchhiking spot - Elf petrol station. You can try there, or stand with a sign on Av Pierre Mendes, just before the entrance to the station. where it is?
Marseille to Nice

You can stand on the entrance to the L'Autoroute de Soleil (A7), 3 minutes' walk northwest from the central station Gare Saint Charles. From the station main entrance, follow the blue road signs for the autoroute. It is quite possible that there will be other hitchhikers there. It seems to be a fantastic spot(Currently there is a lot of construction on the entrance going on and there isn't really room for anyone to stop for you. 10/19/2011). You can try at the roundabout near the Arc de Triomphe Place Jules Guesde. That is where the L'Autoroute de Soleil starts. Place yourself just before the highway begins, still on the roundabout.
