Young people actively championing social businesses. ing Doctors on Call Ltd (DoC) is a social enterprise that specialises in healthcare solution provision; founded in 2007 and officially registered by Ugandas Registrar of Companies in 2012 by two young social entrepreneurs; a medical doctor and a systems designer. DoC is a social business that specialises in localising emerging technologies to the context and environment of resource-poor communities. The greatest enemy of Africa is the high economic cost of morbidity(ill-health) and brain drain on the household income (UYONET 2010, Youth Manifesto 2011-16; UGMP 2010, The Citizen's Manifesto 2011-16; MFPED 2009, National Budget Framework Paper FY 2009/10 - 13/14). ; DoC employs the Social Business model to convert Dead Capital (dormant underutilised resources/ assets) particularly mobilising local human assets and social capital to sustainably address health and health health-related concerns.
