This is a medium scale industry; JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. industry is one of the gas parts manufacturing company. The growth of JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. is well received and acknowledges in India. We at JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. theory exploited and have new become a name in the national market to expansion of JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. lead to continue demand for various types and size of gas parts such as LPG burners etc.

History and development


MR. BHARATBHAI PATEL owner of JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. and the company established in 1996 in Rajkot. MR, BHARATBHAI PATEL has started JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. They were producing only L.P.G. burners for gas. Now days because of great relation and superior quality company produce many types of L.P.G. burners and original gas equipment and today because of excellent performance they have lots of satisfied customers in India as well as international market. They were treatment progress of JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. during 19 to 19 and they expand their business in international market.

The classification bases on the basic of size in identified in term of capital investment as per size of organization divided in three categories are as follow. It starting investment of company is less then 3 cores then it is consider as small scale industry. It is between 3 corers to 100 corers then it is consider as medium scale industry. It is more then 100 corers then it is consider as large scale industry. JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. was started with starting investment of 3 corers so we can obviously consider that JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. is small scale industry.

Introduction
Production is the heart of any industry. All the activities start with production in the company. It is necessary that production department run effectively and efficiently. Because, if company runs production effectively and then company can run other activity forward. production is an organized activity of converting raw material in to final product. Every process of converting raw material in to final goods is known as production process. Raw material used in process


For each and every product there are some materials which are transferred in to the final product it is known as raw material for that product. Production is start with raw material. Raw material is the basic component of product; raw material cost is the major cost in the all of the product. JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. uses c.i.casting as a raw material to produce L.P.G. burners and equipments Flour mills. They use only c.i.casting as a raw material. JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. always uses good raw material in the production process. They never fraud with their suppliers. The company purchases the raw material from Rajkot city and Mumbai city.

Quality control
JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. is very conscience about quality of product. They use latest machinery and equipment for best quality. This company is well equipped with chemical analysis laboratory for analyzing the chemical composition of prime raw material c.i.casting. Main function of laboratory is to verify the chemical composition of c.i.casting as per IS/ISO norms. The burner fatness and vibration tester is used for checking the noise and vibration H.P.canteen burner, torch burner, R.V. burner, mixing tube. This instrument is used for upgrading the quality of JYOTI ENGINEERING CO.

Packing is very important because without proper packing it may possible that product get damage. Each burner is packed in flexible laminated pouch. Individual box packing. Wooden case packing as per STD quality. After completing of packing each preserve in bounded store room.

Price of the product or price decision plays a very crucial role in the development of any industry. Factor Company should sale their goods at that price which includes all expanses and reasonable profit. JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. includes following cost for decide the price of the product. RAW MATERIAL COST: JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. includes cost of raw material. In raw material they use raw material as c.i.casting and cost of c.i.casting are included in the price of the L.P.G. burner. PROCESS COST: In the process cost they include electricity expanses, machinery expanses and wage expanses.

MARKETING COST: Expanse which is done for the marketing or selling are to be included in marketing cost like advertisement, transport and other selling expanses. ADMINISTRATION COST:

Finance department of any company is very important and very necessary because finance is the soul of the company. In other words finance is for business. Without finance business is not important. For utilization of different activity what ever amount is received from different sources for certain objectives is known as finance. Finance is life blood for any organization. Finance is that function of organization which should be used in proper way. There is always scare of finance in an organization. The financial manager should have planning of finance. One of the most important functions of the manager is that of planning. In order to formulate plans he must first know his companys immediate position. Financial planning is essential and profitable use of funds a use which is determined by realistic investment decisions. The success or failure of production and distribution department depends upon the manner in which the finance is performed. In JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. Mr.Laljibhai is head of finance department. He makes all planning of finance in Jyoti engineering co. He collects finance at lowest rate and makes proper use of it. He makes records finance and study the financial condition of Jyoti engineering co. He makes planning for both long term and short term. In such plans, they make budget which standard and actual performance and results are regularly compared with these budgets. These activities help them to control expenditures if they run beyond the budget.

CAPITALIZATION
According to A.S. dewing The term capitalization or the valuation of capital includes the capital stock and debts. Capitalization indicates the total pure value of outstanding amount of debentures capital and the face value of other long term obligation.

Time is most important for every one time never stop for any one. We should use our time properly. Time keeping system is very essential for the regulation of employees and for maintaining the productivity of the unit. JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. believes that every work should be done in time. It believes that work which is done after definite time period. JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. is very strict as far as time is concern. In JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. there is card system. Everyone has to write their entry time and leaved time. General shift of company is as under. Day shift: 8.00a.m. TO 8.00p.m. Recess: 12.00a.m. TO 2.00p.m.

Manpower is the most important power to handle the firm. Once this arrange taste is easy. Manpower planning is a process to ensure that the right people processing needed skill of the right time is available to perform the JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. is follow such a process. If any workers have certain skill company will try to develop his/her skills and gives a chance to implement it. In JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. there are two types of employees. 1. Unskilled employees - 20 2. Skilled employees - 10 The total figure of manpower of JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. is about 40.

Recruitment and selection is a very important work in any of the company. Any company has good machines but workers are not properly so goods are maid not good. RECRUITMENT: Recruitment is the process of searching for prospective employees and stimulating them to apply for job in the organization. There are main two sources for recruitment. 1.Internal sources. 2. External sources. JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. adopts both the type of sources for recruit person. For unskilled worker they use internal sources they get unskilled workers on reference of current or previous workers and for skilled workers and official staff they use external sources, they give advertisement in NEWS PAPER and recruit employees. SELECTION: After application of recruit numbers of employees are secured through different method or recruitment, selection process begins. the main purpose of selection procedure is to find the right man for job. Selection means to choose qualified persons out of all. JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. has they own system to select an employee. They arrange interview, take test according to

post, and then they select right person for right job. Selection refer to select the employee who is most efficient in work will be selected to fill up the vacancies at managerial level; they ask the applicants prescribed application form. An applicant is required to fill up a matter of the application from of which following are more important. EDUCATION: To apply for the job at managerial level in this unit, the applicant must be qualified.

EXPERIENCE: Experience of the applicant is very important and they also require the name of the last employer and reason to leave that job. REFERENCES: To apply for the job at managerial level in this company, the applicant must be having a reference of either an employee of this unit or of a well- known person. After studying all the applications applicants are called for an interview and they required employee and workers are selected.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT


Training is very important for company. For employee in making product. So training is the act of increasing knowledge and skill of workers for doing specific job. If employee make product without training they may be make mistake in product, so it makes bad impacts on the customers so it makes impact on the product. So every company must have trained employees. Training and development is necessary for every worker. Workers can improve their capacity through for getting work efficiently and affectively. JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. gives training to workers by two methods. On the job training Off the job training

ON THE JOB TRAINING: Through this method they provide training to workers. First, supervisor provides training to worker practically and observing that worker to works according to that. OFF THE JOB TRAINING: Through this method they provide training to office staff. They arrange lecture,

conference or case study in factory premises or out of factory premise. DEVELOPMENT: Development is also one kind of training for development of the workers. Company arranges various seminars by other agencies. The main purpose behind it is they learn about leadership, effective communication, decision making power and other skills. The company supervisor of takes the responsibility to train the new workers in the organization. The process of development is done for employee at high level.

Induction program
Once a candidate selected at place on he should be introduces in company policies and programs to his superiors and with company workers. It is a welcoming process to the new comes. When a new person joins the company he person may feel nervures in beginning. As per Armstrong Induction is the process of receiving and welcoming employees when he first joint company and giving basic information, he meets to down quickly and happily start work.

Wage & salary administration


Wages salary is reword of work for every employee wages or salary should be rational and enough for employees work. Wages means price paid for the use of labour according to dale Yoder and Heneman, wages are the compensation of the wage earner. The numbers employees who use the tools and equipments at employee in producer produce goods and service that are sold by their employees. Basic purpose of wages and salary administration is to establish and maintain effective wage and salary structure. Proper and regular wages and salary helps to avoid industrial disputes moral of worker and efficiency of worker.

They give minimum Rs.3000 and maximum Rs.10000 on the basic of post of employees. For the engineer salary Minimum Rs.10000/- per month to Rs. 25000/- or more. Because of good wages and structure they never find any problem related to salary or wage.

PROMOTION: In any industry promotion is most important because without promotion workers interest in work decreases. Promotion is very requiring in this industry workers experience and work is good at that time give a promotion. Metoda at kalawad highway and they are going to set latest machinery and equipment over there. - They have purchased another building in Aji industrial area, and they are going to start producing over there in short time. - They are trying to increase market share in burner market. - They people are trying to reduce actual cost of the product and want to give more benefits to the consumers.

Actually we are just student and to write something as a part of suggestion. It is not or capacity but this B.B.A. faculty has involved. Practical study in B.B.A. course, so student have to work as their report. JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. is well developing company and it is doing its job very well but after visiting JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. Introduction would like to say something for the JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. The area where JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. Company situated is not enough for companys production so that they should have to expand it. Second thing is that they should advertise their product by any media. I think to achieve their goal advertising is the beat way to making a good image in market. Company needs to increase sales promotion activities. Hence I wished that company will try to remove its faults as soon as possible and expand their business. I wish delight and bright future for coming years.

CONCUSION
After visiting JYOTI ENGINEERING CO. I feel very glad that I had been part of it for sometime. This visit gave me much practical knowledge and a very good experience.
