portant item they received. The Moss sisters never knew growing up, where the boxes came from. One day though, after coming to the U.S., they were at Lifeline Ministries in Hot Springs, VA and saw the stacks of OCC shoeboxes. The realization hit them that it was people in the U.S. that had sent their boxes those many years earlier. They soon decided that they wanted to be a part of sending that love of Christ to others, also, and now do what they can to help further the mission of Operation Christmas Child.

When asked what were some good items to put in shoeboxes, they said hygiene products were essential, such as, rags and soap but a small calculator also proved to be very useful. The amazing part though, as we fill shoeboxes with tangible items, (given because we have the gift of Christ), Christ fills the boxes with His love: a love that stretches across the world and fills the hearts of children that need to feel and know His love. Shanika remembers finding a special Teddy Bear in her shoebox and Sherika still uses the calculator she found in hers. Though both young ladies have fond memories of their gifts, they especially remember the gift of love that came with the boxes, stating that it was the most im-

The Verdict Is In As a lawyer, I have made a prolonged study of the evidence for the events of the Resurrection. To me the evidence is conclusive, and over and over again in the High Court, I have secured a verdict on evidence not nearly so compelling. Sir Edward Clarke

A Special Note To: Members

Please sign-up for just 1 hour a month to help clean-up the church grounds. You can do it any hour in the week that you sign-up for. Only four people are needed for an entire month. It only takes one hour (or less) a week to pick up trash outside our building. It would be nice if 4 people would choose to do it each month. Then we would actually have a Property Clean-up Crew! Just 1 hour a month is all it would take on your part...consider it, please. Sign-up sheet is on Bulletin Board or call the office: 845-4600.

Deacon of the Week: Keith Jones 434.525.6605

Many times we are asked, Who is my deacon? To help you, we will list the Deacon of the Week and his list of families in the WLBC Bulletin ENewsletter. There will be a complete list posted on the bulletin board near the church office. This complete list is alphabetical by your last name. We hope this will help you know who your deacon is for the year. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the church office.

According to Johns gospel, after the Resurrection, Jesus asked one of his followers if he loved him. In fact, three times Jesus asked the man the same question. The man was hurt because he felt Jesus did not trust him or could not count on him. Who was that man? A. James B. (Simon) Peter C. Philip D. John The answer is in John 21:17.

Quiet Please A Sunday School teacher was preparing the children for a few minutes of appearance during a worship service. Now, she said, after a bit of instruction, why should we be quiet when we go into the sanctuary? Because, answered a perceptive lad, people will be sleeping.
