The applicant must: 1. demonstrate interest, dedication, commitment and ethos of service to the community and who wish to work in the helping and caring professions, in areas that will assist the needy, the disadvantaged, the under-privileged, or with the physical or social rehabilitation of the less fortunate members of the community; submit an essay (at least 300 words) on how he/she has demonstrated interest, commitment and record of involvement in areas specified in no. (1) above; submit documentary proof of current and past two years participation in any form of community service; and has applied for Financial Aid through the NUS Office of Financial Aid (i.e. exhibit financial hardship)
