Global warming is one of the major environmental issues facing the world today. Global warming refers to an average increase in the Earth's temperature, which in turn causes changes in climate. An increase in the temperature of the Earths surface may lead to changes in rainfall patterns, a rise in sea level, and a wide range of impacts on plants, wildlife, and humans. One cause for Global Warming is called the Greenhouse Effect. Global warming will affect weather everywhere, plants and animals everywhere, people everywhere; humans are warming the earth's atmosphere by burning fuels, cutting down forest, and by taking part in other activities that release certain heat trapping gases into the air.

One major cause of global warming is the use of fossil fuels. Fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas that were formed from the remains of plant material deposited during the earth's carboniferous period. We have known for only a few thousand years that coal, oil, and natural gas can be burned to provide energy. It was not until the mid-1800s, however, that we began to burn very large quantities of these fossil fuels. The worldwide consumption of fossil fuel has increased dramatically.Carbon dioxide, released by the use of chemicals and the burning of fossil fuels, is the chief culprit in global warming. High levels of carbon dioxide trap heat in the atmosphere. This can play havoc with the climate of a region.

Global Warming is caused by many things. The causes are split up into two groups, man-made or anthropogenic causes, and natural causes.
Natural Causes

Natural causes are causes created by nature. One natural cause is a release of methane gas from arctic tundra and wetlands. Methane is a greenhouse gas. A greenhouse gas is a gas that traps heat in the earth's atmosphere. Another natural cause is that the earth goes through a cycle of climate change. This climate change usually lasts about 40,000 years.
Man-made Causes

Man-made causes probably do the most damage. There are many man-made causes. Pollution is one of the biggest man-made problems. Pollution comes in many shapes and sizes. Burning fossil fuels is one thing that causes pollution. Fossil fuels are fuels made of organic matter such as coal, or oil. When fossil fuels are burned they give off a green house gas called CO2. Also mining coal and oil allows methane to escape. How does it escape? Methane is naturally in the ground. When coal or oil is mined you have to dig up the earth a little. When you dig up the fossil fuels you dig up the methane as well. Another major man-made cause of Global Warming is population. More people means more food, and more methods of transportation, right? That means more methane because there will be

more burning of fossil fuels, and more agriculture. Now your probably thinking, "Wait a minute, you said agriculture is going to be damaged by Global Warming, but now you're saying agriculture is going to help cause Global Warming?" Well, have you ever been in a barn filled with animals and you smell something terrible? You're smelling methane. Another source of methane is manure. Because more food is needed we have to raise food. Animals like cows are a source of food which means more manure and methane. Another problem with the increasing population is transportation. More people means more cars, and more cars means more pollution. Also, many people have more than one car. Since CO2 contributes to global warming, the increase in population makes the problem worse because we breathe out CO2. Also, the trees that convert our CO2 to oxygen are being demolished because we're using the land that we cut the trees down from as property for our homes and buildings. We are not replacing the trees (an important part of our eco system), so we are constantly taking advantage of our natural resources and giving nothing back in return.

My Favourite Sport
Although I do not really like sports there is one particular sport that I enjoy most of the time and that sport is called table tennis. I like that sport because it is quite challenging for me because I do not like running and so when I run I intend to feel weary after. I also like this sport because it helps me practice how to focus properly without getting distracted easily. I would always play table tennis in my primary school where a crowd of children would gather around and cheer me. That made me feel special and I would always begin to blush. Although I would always lose or be disqualified I loved that game and I felt like a winner on the inside. The sport of table tennis is known as a fun past time for any person young or old. Table tennis is a great way of exercise and a great way to have fun with friends and possibly make some new ones. I love to watch and play the game; table tennis is a very entertaining sport and can be played by anyone. Table tennis has many negative and positive

Table tennis is known as a good pastime in many peoples eyes but can also be seen as a passion for many others. Table tennis in my opinion the best thing I can do with my friends to have fun while burning a few calories. I see table tennis as a fun and easy way to have fun rather than sitting on the couch all day playing video games or watching television. One reason I love table tennis is because you need only yourself to play the game or, you can play with teammates. I prefer to have others to play with rather than just playing alone. To me there is not only one word that I can describe table tennis. You meet tons of people and you are able to play with your friends for hours without getting one thought of boredom. One thing I love about table tennis is that people have many different styles of play. There are styles such as a passer, playmaker, shooter, defensive player, and dunker or highflyer. When you play table tennis you feel...

There are two kinds of games, outdoor games that are played on vast fields, and indoor games that are played in the four walls of the home or classroom. I have tried my hands on several games, both indoor and outdoor. In school I play football, volley ball, table tennis and badminton. However, in the passage of some time, after playing all these games, I have developed a special liking for badminton. By now, this game of badminton has become my favourite game. Badminton has become my favourite game especially because it does not involve a large team. It can be managed more easily than the games with large teams in which adjustment of time becomes a problem quite often. If one player of the large team is absent from the school we cannot play. This one snag makes me feel that, since collection of the team is a problem, that game becomes a bore instead of a pleasure. Moreover, in the process of time I have noticed to my dismay that, when large teams are involved, there also crop up jealousies, favouritism and politics in the game. This is another reason I do not like any game that means a large team. This is because as soon as politics comes in the game the very spirit of the game is lost. In badminton also I prefer singles to doubles. This is because, it is in singles that I really get very good exercise, and if I lose the game, I have no one to blame except myself. This is one reason why in badminton I feel I keep on improving my game as; I just cannot blame anyone for my defeat in a game. In turn, since I blame myself, I keep on improving the game and thus can aspire to become a really good player at some stage of my career in badminton.

Once my game improves to some level, I desire to become a state level player, and then a national player. If my ambition of becoming a national level player of badminton comes true, I will bring some laurels to my school, my state and then of course to my country. I am an ardent admirer of Mr. Prakash Padukone, and hope to reach that level in the game. I do wish I could emulate Mr. Padukone and do the game some good, and bring name to myself.
When I was a child,I just a primary school student,My father send me a pair of badminton bats as the birthday present ,the bats are made of woods,Its so simple and can not compare to any the luxurious bats now. From then on,I became to like such a sports,at first ,playing badminton is just for funny,or get warm in winter,in front of my house ,there is a yard ,without the net, knowing nothing about the regulation, but we were still happy enough through the game.

Maybe in those times,I was cultivated the interest of badminton, when I grow up,playing badminton is one of my hobbies. Badminton gives me much pleasure than anyother sports in my life. Playing badminton needs comprehensive body ability, ou should be flexible, nimble, durable ,smart, ts a game full of skill and physical strenth. You should run and jump aroud the ground,It s a good way to exercise and helpful to health .

I will never forget one of my classmates ,also my good friend, who played badminton with me in the university, we cost ten yuan once to play badminton in the gymnasium, its the most luxurious comsuption in my school time. We share a bottle of water,we encourage each other,we perspire together, and we emmerse in the game deeply. He is the suitable partner for me,but now, after graduation,we never meet again, I miss the time we played the badminton. So by now , I was lonely to find a friend to play badminton with me .

Who will be my badminton friend? I want to ask for a new friend in Nanjing,I often play badminton in Xiaguan district juvenile palestra,in the South ReHe Road, anyoneelse who is convenient to go to the place and like badminton can send message to me. Im eager to find a new friend to play with me.
