The Cavern Mines

The Cavern Mines consist of eight lode mlnlng claims located

twenty-two miles north-east of Essex, Calif. in the east slope
of the Providence l~ts. at an elevation of 4,500 ft.

In a locale of considerable volcanic action that occurred long

ago are to be founo. the ore bodies, the principle values being
in silver, lea(1, molybctenum and small values in gold. The are
bodies occur along the contact of the limestone, Granite and
rhyoli t e.
There is e~posed on the surface at the present time, a very
large cleposi t of low gracle mill are having a value of twenty
($20.00) dollars or more ~er ton. There should be no difficulty
in holding tYe mill heads at well over that value.
~'his property is locatect about two Miles due south of the Old
Bonan7,a King l,ane VJhich in the :)ast .produced :':any mil.lions of
o.ollars of the same kino g.f are. Suffiei ent wat eri s presenj;; on
the ~remises to operate on a small scale altho at a small
aclcli tional expen8e much more v'acGer can be (eveloped from the present
spring.
I have a mill (Linea Type) and three tables, encine, are bins, etc
which I am "'J!i11ine to have put to work and vJOuld liLe to have some
competent rnirdng man take the :proper'~;y over and operate it on a
straight royalty basis. No <'town payment is reCluired but it would
take about five or six-thousand dollars to start operations and
get the mine on a profitable paying basis. There is enough good
are mined and in sight at the present moment to cover the initial
cost of the project.
The nearest shipping l')oint is at Gaffs, C[:,lif. and the are can
be loa~ed on the cars there from the )roperty at a cost of one
($1.50) dollar and fifty cents per ton. Charges for treating the
are at the smelter are greatl~r rectuceo. because the are occuring as
it does in limestone carries a premium for the lime in tt.

Thi sis a 8ub stantiall~T correct outline of the :proj ect and one
l/1hic1'1 in my estimation justifies a thoroughly sam.pling. This I
invite ancl. l"elcome at any time.
