Cultural Domain Analysis

As we discussed, culture is influenced by multiple components that work both separately and together to compose a complete identity of the culture. Reflect on each of the 4 components listed below and list as many details as you can about each as they pertain to your concept. Be as specific as you can. For example, if you are working with Location, instead of writing Germany or concentration camps, write Auschwitz, or even barracks or labor yards.

Location & Events Pearl Harbor, Hawaiii Europe- World War 2 Post Office Hospital on Pearl Harbor Times Square, New York City Bunker/ hut People Carter Renolds- main character- sailor in the United States Navy Sarah Samson- main character- nurse on the base of Pearl Harbor Matthew Quartner- post office man in the town around Pearl Harbor Men were mostly at war or had something to do with the war Women were starting to take over small business and take big roles in the country while the men were gone America was high on support for one another Women were being criticized for having such big roles and some people were

even calling the nurses hoes and blaming them on being after the men Ideas Morale for America was high The War was a big focus and everything was done according to the war Women were getting bigger roles which had never happened before People were still in shock and wanted to get back at the Japanese for attacking the US Young Men who didnt make the draft were looked down upon and made fun of Racism against Japanese Artifacts Dressing for women was very modest and mostly dresses that came far below the knee Cars were old fashion and not everyone had a car or families did not have multiple like we do now TV and computers were just coming out, so reading and music were main forms of entertainment Letters were a big form of communication for being far away Atomic bomb was first created
