Peter Travers from Rolling Stone magazine sees the movie as exactly representing the zeitgeist of the agethe mission

Amen. I heard no laughter while watching The Hunger Games on opening day. Just sober silence. This teenage movie set in a totalitarian world that supposedly replaced a broken America shows the grim struggle for survival in a world without God, hope or meaning. The only higher power is a heartless government that supplies its own choice of artificial thrills and trials. And the people suffer. The book behind the movie was published by the prominent Scholastic. It brought us the Harry Potter series and countless other books promoting witchcraft and the occult. By marketing its books through our education system, Scholastic may have done more to distort history, mythologize truth and promote moral and spiritual corruption among children than any other publisher. If you have children in public schools, they probably read the Weekly Reader, which offers news and current events from a strictly non-Christian perspective. Its publisher, the Weekly Reader Corporation, is owned by Scholastic. This 1990 message illustrates its earth-centered propaganda and twisted view of history: "Give Thanks to the Earth: The first Thanksgiving feasts were harvest festivals. People gathered to celebrate successful harvests and to thank the Earth for its fruits. You can celebrate the earth every day by always taking care of the environment."[2] Scholastic News Decades before the birth of the United Nations, some of the globalist leaders that launched the Federal Reserve called for a radical new agenda for America's children. With support from the Carnegie Foundations, John Dewey prepared a socialist foundation for the new system. As the first president of the American Humanist Association, he was determined to replace Christianity with pluralistic values that fit the global agenda. Let me warn you: the movie is just as seductive as the book; perhaps more so, since the written message is joined to unforgettable visual images. It draws its fans into the oppressive, futuristic nation called Panem (from "Panem et Circenses" meaning "Bread and Circuses") that supposedly replaced America. The current dictator rules Panem's 12 Districts from the mighty Capitol somewhere in the Rocky Mountains. With well-trained underlings to fulfill his commands, he can monitor the masses, manipulate weather, and quench revolts initiated by the poor, discontented serfs. The fictional history tells us that the Hunger Games began in the wake of a revolution seventyfive years earlier. Each year since then, twenty-four young Tributes -- ages 12 through 18 -have been chosen by lottery in each of the 12 Districts. They will be trained to kill, then transported to a selected area -- probably in the Rockies. Their only assignment is to try to survive by killing each other. At the end, the sole survivor will be celebrated as a national treasure and a promotional puppet. One critique of this movie reads: This sadistic story with pornographic overtones depicts teens who are tortured and killed in rituals like those the Illuminati use to trauma brainwash their own children. In occult, genderbending fashion, a young woman performs the pugilistic feats required to defend her family. The Illuminati media is the Church of Satan. We are the congregation, unconscious of this relentless, sinister assault on our psyches. A reader, Marcos writes: "Unbelievably, the "Christian" Science Monitor says it is an opportunity for families to bond together. (If that is the case)Other opportunities might be a visit to the slaughterhouse, a stay at a crack house or perhaps a night at a topless bar wheregirls could learn to dance with the help of their proud parents." The surreal purpose of this annual event is to control, not entertain, the masses. Panem's yearly battle sows fear, not cheer, even though the rulers demand celebrations. Does that remind you of the Roman Coliseum where trained gladiators slaughtered faithful Christians as huge crowds celebrated? The main character is sixteen-year-old Katniss who lives with her mother and twelve-year-old sister, Prim, in District 12, the poorest in the land. Since her father died in a coal-mine explosion,

Katniss has been the family's sole provider. Day after day, she and her friend Gale hunt rabbits and gather herbs and berries on forbidden government land. But everything is about to change. In the lottery leading up to the games, the terrified Prim is chosen. Stunned, Katniss quickly volunteers to take her sister's place. Peeta Mellark, who had long had a crush on Katniss, is chosen next. After the required time of training, prepping and promotion at the Capitol, Katniss and Peeta are brought to the battlefield. On the first day, eleven of the twenty-four Tributes are killed. Most of the others race into the nearby forests to seek water and shelter from rain and each other. Meanwhile, the sophisticated high-tech Gamemakers back in the Capitol keep busy pointing their hidden cameras toward the injured, the dead, and the most popular players. Those images are shown on sophisticated tele-screens across the country. The goal is to unify, pacify and intimidate the viewers into ceaseless loyalty and compliance. It reminds me of a statement in the book, Amusing Ourselves to Death, by Neil Postman who anticipated today's rise of Marxist values. To illustrate mental manipulation, he compared two familiar books: Aldous Huxley's Brave New World and George Orwell's 1984: "[In 1984] people are controlled by inflicting pain. In Brave New World, they are controlled by inflicting pleasure. In short, Orwell feared that what we hate will ruin us. Huxley feared that what we love will ruin us."[9] Both have a point. Today, the cultural war against Christ and His Church is being waged on both fronts. The minds of most contemporary teens are bombarded with seductive images and suggestions that mock God's values and scorn Christianity. Jhn 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. Jhn 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. Jhn 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. Near the end of the battle, the voice of a Gamemaker is broadcast to the final contenders, calling them back to their starting place. Emerging from the forest, Katniss and Peeta confront a new set of foes: twenty-one fierce, furry, four-legged "mutants" who seem eager to eat them. The book indicates that these "mutants" are actually the twenty-one victims brought back to life in new identifiable animal bodies: "The mutts are beginning to assemble....There's something else about them, something that makes the hair rise up on the back of my neck... They are unmistakably human. ... The blonde hair, the green eyes, the number ... it's Glimmer [one of the dead Tributes]. I fire into its throat. Its body twitches and flops onto the ground... [Glimmer's second death?] "The small one with the red coat and amber eyes... Foxface! And there, the ashen hair and hazel eyes of the boy from District 9 who died as we struggled for the backpack! And worst of all, the smallest mutt, with dark glossy fur, huge brown eyes....Teeth bared in hatred. Rue! [She was a sweet, twelve-year-old girl before she was killed]... "Have they been programmed to hate our faces particularly because we have survived and they were so callously murdered?"[10] Perhaps the moviemakers chose to ignore any hint of rebirth or reincarnation. But the scene fits right into the mythical tales and occult phenomena of ages past. Mothers have reported their daughters having nightmares after reading the series. The books are more gruesome and grisly than some of the more violent video games that are out there. The story centers on Katniss Everdeen, 16, whose mother fell into a deep depression upon the death of her father in a coal mining accident. Her family lives in "District 12," one of 13 districts around the Capitol in a post-apocalyptic United States. Most of the District 12 residents live in abject poverty. In the pre-history of the story, District 13 had rebelled against the Capitol's slavery-inducing, consumer-driven production fields and was literally bombed out of existence for their insurgency. As a result, the Capitol, under President Snow, demands a reaping, a sacrifice of two children, between the ages 12-18, from each district every year. In supreme sadistic irony, the children are forced to dress in their very best clothing for the reaping. Those who try to earn extra grain and oil for their families offer their names in the "Hunger Games."

The most sadistic forms of torture imaginable are used against the children in the games. There can be only one victor. The children must kill each other. One girl is only twelve years old. If they refuse to kill each other, the Gamekeeper devises torturous ways in which they are forced to kill each other off. Some of the children must initially murder each other in a 'bloodbath' in order to secure necessities from the cornucopia. They face hunger, starvation, sleep deprivation, poisonous gases, acid rains, blood rains, killing waves, mutant creatures who maul them to death, killing traps, insects that drive them madly insane if they are not outright poisoned to death by them. By the final book, some of the children are tortured by government officials for months on end. Mind-bending, memory forging brainwashing is included. The formerly innocent children are turned into killers.They must kill or be killed. The victors are paraded through-out the districts. Parents of murdered children must salute the victors, the murderers of their children. The victor's families are moved into nice houses and are wealthy for the remainder of their lives. The families of the murdered children receive nothing. In the last book, Katniss discovers that under-age children have been sold into prostitution by the President. Book after book in the trilogy, the torture, the killing, the deception and the sadistic glory continue not only for those who have been captured by the Capitol, but also in the additional Hunger Games that has been declared. All the former victors must participate. In the end, Katniss and the rebels win victory against Snow, but it does not protect her little sister, who has been purposefully targeted by yet another enemy and burned alive in front of her eyes. Because the parents of the baby already had a child, they were hunted down and forced to comply with Chinas draconian one child policy. The mother was injected with a poison that induced an abortion, but after the baby was pulled out inhumanly like a piece of meat, it was still alive and began to cry before doctors slung the defenseless child into a bucket and left it to die. The time stamp on the image tells us the baby was killed on Monday. The image began circulating today on Weibo, Chinas version of Twitter, which has around 260 million members. The story has attracted widespread revulsion directed against the family planning authorities responsible for the murder of the baby. Chinas one child policy is enforced by way of forced abortions, infanticide and compulsory sterilization. In many cases, women are literally kidnapped off the street by state goons from the Birth Control Office, driven to government hospitals, drugged, and their child is forcibly aborted. In one case in 2009, both a young woman and her baby were killed after such an abduction in Liaocheng City.

According to a Doctor at the hospital where the two died, the young woman was kidnapped by the Birth Control Office and taken to the hospital where she was forced to undergo an abortion procedure, reported the Epoch Times. The young woman fought with staff to protect her unborn child however a half a dozen men, pushed her down on a bed and injected her with a drug to induce labor. After the young woman had a still birth, she developed a massive hemorrhage and soon thereafter died. The practice of infanticide has its origins in barbaric eras of ancient history, but it is still common is many areas of the world today, including China where the one child policy allied with the social pressure to have boys has resulted in a massive imbalance in the population. Studies have found that 40 million girls are missing in China as a result of gender-selective abortion and infanticide. In India, there are 50 million less females for the same reasons. Advocates of population control, which is nothing more than a disguise for modern day eugenics, have long pressured for the one child policy to be enforced in the west. In 2009, an article written in Canadas National Post argued for A planetary law, such as Chinas one-child policy, is the only way to reverse the disastrous global birthrate. In his 1977 book Ecoscience, current White House science czar John P. Holdren floated the idea of forced abortions and compulsory sterilization, amongst a raft of other draconian population control measures, all of which would be carried out by a Planetary Regime. During a speech at Sichuan University last year, Vice President Joe Biden told an audience that he fully understands Chinas one child policy. News network CNN, in addition to billionaire Ted Turner and other elitists, along with a whole host of pressure groups committed to pushing for population control, have all advocated the one child policy. As we reported last month, a paper published in the Journal of Medical Ethics authored by top academics at the University of Melbourne argued that abortion should be extended to make the killing of newborn babies permissible, even if the baby is perfectly healthy. The authors argued that both fetuses and newborns do not have the same moral status as actual persons, and that because abortion is allowed even when there is no problem with the fetus health, killing a newborn should be permissible in all the cases where abortion is, including cases where the newborn is not disabled. The scintilla of hope that we can take from this distressing story is the fact that this babys precious few minutes of life before it was murdered were not in vain and in fact could end up meaning more than most people who live to old age. Why? Because as a result of seeing this one image, scores of couples around the world could decide against having an abortion, saving many more babies lives in the long run.
