Lisbeth is an odd girl who is under state legal guardianship, because she had be en sectioned. She is appointed a new guardian but he rapes her and steals her mo ney. She Tasers and blackmails him in revenge. This functions to mould her chara cter In exchange for his help, Vanger offers Blomkvist damning evidence against Wenne rstrom. Blomkvist does not have lots of time to get himself acquitted on appeal, before his magazine has to pay substantial damages and Blomkvist has to go to p rison. Blomkvist and Salander begin working together, albeit uncomfortably in th e beginning, to solve the film's two foremost issues. Later on in the motion picture's 158 minute length, the pair goes on to solve te ns of previously unsolved murders going back to the Second World War. The plot i s never sluggish even for such a long film. It comes well-recommended. Daniel Craig has also been given critical acclaim for his portrayal of Mikael Bl omkvist, who was described by David Germain of the Associated Press "as an ancho r of cool rationality and judiciousness." Germain gave the film a 3.5/4 rating. Scott Tobias of The A.V. Club gave the film a "B+" rating. He also praised the c hemistry between Mara and Craig. The soundtrack was produced by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, who had previously collaborated with Fincher for the soundtrack of The Social Network. Reznor and Ross' band How to Destroy Angels also supply two songs to the soundtrack: A cover of Led Zeppelin's "The Immigrant Song" (with Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Ye ahs on vocals), which plays during the title sequence, and one of Bryan Ferry's "Is Your Love Strong Enough", which plays during the closing credits.
