Form 3 National Examinations 2011


Dear Colleagues,
The Form 3 National Examinations has been piloted in 34 schools in the
country in October 2011. This year the Ministry of Education has decided to
extend the whole project to national level. We would like to know your point of
view concerning such a crucial decision.
We need to know whether or not educators are agreeable to the moves made
the Form 3 National Examinations. Our query goes as far as to investigate
what reasons motivate educators in their standpoint. We also need to find out
why some opposition to the project. As educators you must be aware of the
state of confusion and anxiety concerning the Form 3 National Examinations.
Our concern is to assess how far the form 3 National Examinations caters to
the overall welfare of the student population in Mauritius.

will enable us to probe the extent to which this ministerial decision has the
scope of being successfully institutionalised in 2012.

11. The National Curriculum Framework syllabus 2011 recommends teachers


to use a student's centered approach to teaching and learning: projects,
portfolios, presentations....were supposed to be used to conduct the learning
process and determined the assessment.
